How Far Along: Halfway there.. I can’t even believe it! The first 20 weeks went by pretty slow in my opinion and I have a feeling the second half is going to fly.. at least until those last few weeks (which last 365 days). We have a very busy summer planned and before we know it, it’ll be September, then October, then oh sh*t he’s gonna be here. Not. Ready. But who’s ever ready for a baby?
Gender: Boy
Name: Parker James, Master P, Big 3 (funny story..we joked we should name him Trey.. like tres.. as in 3 in Spanish.. get it? ok lame..)
Zara blouse (similar) | Jeans | Purse | Shoes
Feeling: Kicks! They say with subsequent pregnancies, you’ll feel baby sooner and that’s definitely been the case as I’ve felt flutters since about 16 weeks. Now, he’s doing full blown backflips in there. I’ll never get used to this feeling.. it’s the most surreal thing in the world and so unexplainable. It brings tears to my eyes event talking about it because it’s just WILD. Obviously I remember Jack and Cam kicking in the womb but never knew how amazing they’d turn out to be. I feel so lucky that I get to experience this a third time around.
Maternity Clothes: Oh, we’re THERE. Been there. I wear a combination of about three things. My Lululemon Align leggings (I own in 4 colors and get the 25 inch cut), my Leith dresses here and here, and drawstring shorts. And my bathrobe if that counts?!
Sleep: mehhhhhhhh not great. I get a good night’s sleep about every 2-3 nights but other times I just toss and turn to get comfortable. A sign of things to come. Insomnia and being awake for the rest of my life 😉
Body Changes: Like I mentioned in my last post, the past four weeks have been a big transformation. It’s when I gain the most weight and start to show. Really show. I’m getting round everywhere.. I noticed it in my face when I posted my son’s baptism photos. So. Puffy. Trying to keep the water intake up but it’s inevitable.. I’m about to blow up lol. I’ve gained about 12 pounds thus far and know it’s about to ramp up as the weeks press on. I gained between 35-40 with both J and Cam (more with C) so I’m sure I’ll be on track to do the same this time. I think the “normal” amount of weight you’re “supposed” to gain is around 25-30 and even though I exercise and eat pretty clean and healthy, I still gain more. Continuing to be patient with myself as I know that it’ll come off in time.
Exercise: Trying to keep up with 10,000 steps a day or a workout, either yoga, barre, cardio at the gym or pilates. I’ve stayed pretty consistent but don’t push myself as hard obviously. I get a workout class in about 4 days a week and walk the other days. So I’d say I’m doing pretty good. But.. see below 😉
Cravings: FOOD. Sweets. Salts. The bad stuff. The good stuff. I had a rough go with food poisoning last week so salmon is officially OFF the list of cravings but everything else, I’m game. In particular: cereal (oatmeal squares with whole milk SO good), tuna fish sandwiches (stilllllll), Mexican food day or night, chocolate after every meal and huge salads with everything in it. So I guess it’s not terrible cravings besides the chocolate part.
Looking Forward To: Seeing Jackson (again) and Cam as big brothers. I’ve been talking to Jackson a lot about Parker and this time, it’s going to be especially cool seeing him adjust to this role. He’s so funny with Cam right now and actually enjoys playing with him (mostly.. let’s be real, sometimes they pummel each other). He’s always been protective of Cammy but he was only 23 months when his little brother arrived. Now he’s three, can somewhat rationalize and express himself so watching him become a big brother for the second time is something I can’t wait to watch. Oh and Cam… gotta get this kid walking and a little more self-sufficient so when P arrives, we aren’t in total meltdown mode.
Thanks for stopping by and following along this journey with me! I love sharing these little life updates and what I’m feeling/experiencing. Feeling pretty damn lucky 😉

happy for you 🙂
