I have heard rave reviews about Elta MD, have noticed that a bunch of high end salons carry this brand and I follow bloggers who swear by it so I decided to give it a go. It’s also at a very reasonable price point for only $35. I have dry skin so I purchased this version but will link another option below for those with combination/acne-prone/oily skin. Elta MD is very lightweight, is oil-free and goes on smooth. Put it on after your morning skincare routine and apply makeup.

I am obsessed with all of Dr. Dennis Gross’ products.. I use the Peel Pads (3x a week) and his retinol + ferulic serum, so when I came across his SPF I knew I had to try it. This multi-purpose sunscreen helps prevent sun damage all while reducing the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone and wrinkles. Talk about a triple threat 😉
My one true love.. tried and true.. can’t live without Drunk Elephant’s tinted (and un-tinted version) SPF. I usually reach for the tinted one because I don’t wear makeup during the day and this acts as my foundation. If I were to be putting on makeup, I would apply the un-tinted version. They’re both lightweight and they absorb into the skin leaving a dewy glow. Always want a dewy glow.
I remember one of my girlfriend’s carrying around her mineral sunscreen stick all of college and at the time, I was like wtf is that? Now, I get it. I totally get it. This is the perfect sunscreen to throw in your purse and reapply during the day because not only does it protect your face, but it reduces shine and can act as your makeup/setting powder. Great for all skin types. If you’re not into the powder version and want a true sunscreen, get this one instead. Same concept but in liquid form.
Also a goodie for any skin type and it’s the one I actually bought my husband after he came home complaining of sun spots. Ummm hello, you don’t wear sunscreen and you’re out in the sun golfing all day long so what do you expect?! Protect dat face! I steal my husband’s at least twice a week and put it on after a workout and before I head outside. I like the feel of this one because it feels like a moisturizing lotion + spf. Win/win in my book.
