I am always investing in my skincare routine and wanting to try new products I hear about on beauty podcasts so today I am sharing 5 new products that I’ve recently added to my routine and what I love about them so far. While I haven’t used them for over 2 months (a true indicator if something is working for you or not), I still felt as though these specific products could become staples in my morning and night routine because I am reaching for them daily right now.
I’ve been wanting to add a stronger “peel” to my skincare routine for exfoliation and so I purchased this one based on a recommendation by the Blonde Files Podcast. This Glycopeel helps to diminish signs of aging skin with its potent multi-functional exfoliating and brightening treatment. Glycolic Acid (10%) helps to exfoliate, renew and brighten skin tone. It’s not a true peel and won’t shed a layer of skin but it definitely tingles upon application (not in an uncomfortable way.. it a “it’s working” way!). I only use it 1-2x a week as I have heard that some peels can thin your skin and I definitely want to avoid that!
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream (color: beach glow)
I have a few cc creams I love but when I came across Juice Beauty, I had to give this one a try and am SO glad I did because it checks off all the boxes: SPF, tinted, and made with certified organic products. Juice Beauty reef safe sunscreens are formulated without chemical SPF ingredients such as oxybenzone, which have been banned in Hawaii and Florida for harming coral reefs. Feel assured that you’re safeguarding your skin and our environment with Juice Beauty’s reef-friendly mineral zinc SPFs offering broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. I got the color Beach Glow for obvious reasons.. I always want that dewy, sun-kissed glow but look at the color palette to choose the color that’s right for your skin tone. It gets perfect reviews on Dermstores website (where I buy the majority of my higher end beauty products).
HydroPeptide Clarifying Toner Pads
What I’ve come to realize about my skin is that even when I cleanse and exfoliate, I still feel like my skin needs a little extra something to clean my pores because I still get breakouts from time to time. These clarifying toner pads solve my problem and are great for acne-prone skin and really help with my breakouts. I will not use these on night I do any sort of “peel” or exfoliating as I don’t want to overdo it and dry out my skin. So I use these about 3x a week at night to really get the dirt and grime out from the day.
HydroPeptide Power Lift Moisturizer
I’ve been on the hunt for a new moisturizer and didn’t want to purchase something without doing some research and when I came across this brand and this specific moisturizer, it got me really excited. I always need hydration in my routine and this moisturizer delivers on that promise while also plumping and firming the skin. YES PLEASE.
Babor Cleansing Hy-Ol + Phytoactive Reactivating Cleanser (Two Step Cleansing Treatment)
Ok this is a two-step cleansing process so this post should really say 6 new beauty products I’m trying but I lumped them together because they are used together as one cleansing system. Holy crap guys.. I am loving this line and my skin just eats it up. I would consider myself to have “combination skin”.. it’s not super dry but not super oily and this system is tailored to me (and to oily skin types). First you put 4 pumps of the Hy-Ol on to dry hands with two pumps of the Phytoactive cleanser on top of it, emulsify it in your hands and apply. The two step system is meant to cleanse while also treating, refreshing, and lending radiance to the skin. Sign me up.. loving this brand so far.
I had never heard of some of these brands about a month ago and I love trying new products and changing up the routine… if my skin can take it. And thus far, my skin is truly adapting to these products. I will continue to keep you updated on my specific routine and what I am incorporating, switching out, and changing up.
Are there any “hero” products in your line up you’ve been loving? Drop a comment!
xx, H
