Happy May friends! Feeling that Spring sunshine finally in Seattle and soaking up every second of it! I have a couple of fun finds this month to share with you and remember none of this is sponsored…maybe one day 😉 I’ve found and purchased all of these products on my own. So let’s get to it!
Good Culture cottage cheese…19 grams of protein…yes please! I found this at Whole Foods and it makes the perfect mid morning snack or part of a protein packed breakfast. Bonus: it contains live and active cultures (hello gut health). I’ve been trying to cut back on dairy for my skin’s sake, and cottage cheese is pretty low in lactose and loaded with protein so the pros outweigh the cons here. It tastes really good too…less watery than traditional cottage cheese. Here is a link to a coupon I found on their website.
Kite Hill introduced a new “Greek style” almond milk yogurt which is a great alternative to regular greek yogurt for those dairy free folks out there. It has a good dose of protein along with the live and active cultures your tummy loves. I only saw the unsweetened flavor (which I prefer) and I found this at Whole Foods.
Mann’s Nourish Bowls were a fun find at my local Safeway this past weekend. They have a bunch of different bowl options (click here to view all their products) This Southwest Chipotle sounded good and the ingredients are legit. I haven’t had a chance to try this yet, but while looking at the this picture I saw the “best by” date and looks like I should probably make it this week ha…I’ll keep you posted.
Ruby Rockets popsicles caught my eye while trying to find a popsicle for Quinn last week. She’s obsessed with anything frozen and since the temps in Seattle are finally cooperating it was time to stock the freezer with some frozen treats. These looked spot on ingredient wise and she’s loving them! A few of you have messages me that your kiddos also like the chocolate one they make, so that is next to try!
NOKA superfood smoothie pouches were a hit with Quinn. I’m alway looking for portable nutritious snack ideas for her so I picked these up while at Whole Foods to test them out. They are a little $$ (more expensive that the standard squeeze packs marketed for kids) but they have a little more plant protein, healthy fats, and superfoods (which is totally just a marketing term, but the ingredients are legit).
Califia Farms makes great almond milk and they even do a 1/2 coconut milk 1/2 almond milk blend I’m into. But this combo made me raise an eye brow…so I didn’t buy it. I’m intrigued…I tried thinking of when I would use this combination and all I could come up with was maybe in a smoothie. I saw this at Whole Foods and I’m interested if anyone out there has tried it and how they used it. Let me know!
Simpler Wines I’m just going to end with this fabulous wine in a can. No this is not a new product, but I had to buy some on my last Trader Joe’s run because the sun is finally out and I tell myself it is socially acceptable to drink this at the park with my mom friends…amiright??!
That’s it for my April grocery store finds. I’m loving when you message me with your fun finds…I learn so much from you guys and get excited to try your favs too!
