It could! This is a scientific review that concludes there is little research on probiotics and acne prone skin, but the research that does exists shows benefits. I also wrote up a review of a session I attended about skin health and nutrition that might be helpful.
How do you feel about Ozempic?
For someone who has obesity related health conditions, have tried other weight loss methods and struggled, I do think this can be a really helpful tool. I attended a session at my national nutrition conference month that presented a lot of incredible research and data on this topic and it really made me have a better understanding of how this can be such a game changer for some people. I think the risks of being on a medication like this long term are less than the health consequences related to obesity. Obviously this is an important conversation to have with your medical provider and lifestyle changes should also be implemented. This isn’t the solution for a quick fix 10lb weight loss. This should only be used if there are health consequence related to obesity, not used for aesthetic purposes.

Eat less sodium and increase potassium rich foods. Increase fruit, vegetable, and fiber intake as well as limit saturated fats. Also getting in more exercise is beneficial for blood pressure, weight loss, and stress management.
Does bone broth really have gut healing benefits?
Bone broth is a food rich in amino acids (not a complete protein source) and some studies show ani inflammatory benefits. It might not be the cure all some claim, but it’s protein rich and soothing and is a good option if you’re wanting to sip on something warm and cozy this winter. I have these bone broths stick and love to drink them in the afternoon.
Thoughts on ARMRA colostrum supplement being touted on social media? Health benefits?
Hype babe. I got caught up in it for a sec too because the claims sounded so good. The most promising benefits for supplementing colostrum may be for someone with the flu, diarrhea symptoms/IBS, or those immunocompromised. The research on bovine colostrum just isn’t there yet to support taking it daily for immunity or gut health claims.
