I keep seeing all these cute kiddos heading back to the classroom on social media and feel like my boys start so late?! We don’t go back for another week but that doesn’t mean we aren’t READY! All of us. Ready for routine and structure after a loosey goosey summer. It’s been one of our funnest summer’s to date but I can’t wait for all things fall, p patches, flannels, beanies, and most of all SCHOOL. They are all in class this year. In person. For the entire day (please stay that way please stay that way) And luckily they love it.. we don’t usually have any tears so hopefully that’s the case next week. Fingers crossed for a smooth reentry back into the classroom.. looking like the cool dudes they are:
For the first day of school and/or school pics: these shorts | this button down (for school pictures, I always keep it neutral or a muted color of what they look best in because I plan to display all of their pictures each year as they get older. Every school’s background is different so if they are always in a neutral but nice blue/green/white/grey then their pictures won’t clash from year to year. Obviously, they will start to form an opinion about what they want to wear for picture day but I like to steer them in the right direction 😉 I’m not type A nope not one bit.
I always buy at least one sweatshirt (dark colors cuz #boys #stains) and wind breaker since yep, we live in the rain.
I load up on dri-fit tees for the boys.. this is where they get to experiment with their color choices ha! Dri-fit is the best material for growing boys because it absorbs their sweat and staaaaank.
Nike sweats and shorts are a fan favorite in this house. Not a day goes by that I don’t see that Logo swooshing past me. See what I did there?
The boys always get a new pair of shoes for school and this year we went dark and leather because again, they are disgusting and always trudging through SOMETHING gross.
The boys rock Hurley, Volcom, Vans, and Nike on the regular in this house.. I am from California after all and it’s what my brothers wore growing up. I feel like they look so cute and cool walking into school with their little backpacks and lunch boxes.
Lastly, masks ugh. But they gotta wear them. I get the breathable material (like their dri-fit tees) because they bite them, chew them, suck them, I don’t even know. The breathable material (versus cotton) is the best. It doesn’t show all the moisture you know? Woof.
