Trader Joe’s is constantly coming out with new products and it can be a difficult to keep up. I love Trader Joe’s and do a lot of my grocery shopping there, but you have read labels because a lot of their packaged items tend to sneak in ingredients I’m not a big fan of. Trader’s seems to love themselves some canola oil…ugh! I’m often asked what products I’m loving most at Trader’s, so I wanted to share those with you today.
If you missed a while back I did a whole post on my grocery store list here that includes all my staples, so today I want to highlight items that I’m using on the regular to build quick and easy meals (and snacks). I’ve been relying heavily on some key TJ products that are making my meal preps so much easier. I’m sharing 5 easy meal ideas you can quickly throw together when you’re short on time and energy.

5 Quick and Nutritious TJ Inspired Meals
Spiraled Carrots + Ground Turkey
How to Make:
1 package of TJ frozen carrot spirals (cook per package directions)
1 lb organic ground turkey/beef (season as desired and cook all the way through)
2 cups organic broccoli (steam or roast if you have more time)
1/2-1 cup peas (steamed)
Assemble bowls by adding the carrots, ground turkey, and veggies. Drizzle almond butter tumeric dressed and toss. Add sliced green onion and red pepper flakes
Black Bean Pasta + Chicken Sausage
How to Make:
Cook black bean pasta (or sub for TJ ‘s red lentil pasta) per package directions
Slice 1-2 chicken sausages and heat on stove top using olive or avocado oil
1-2 cups organic broccoli (steamed) or use any green veg
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss with the vegan kale pesto
Butternut Squash Pizza Crust + Brussel Sprout + Prosciutto Pizza
How to Make:
(FYI this one takes a little longer because of baking time for the pizza crust)
Cook the crust per package directions. I add 4 extra minutes each side to get it a little crispier
While pizza bakes sauté shaved Brussel sprouts with olive or avocado oil until crispy
Once pizza is cooked brush on basil or kale pesto (I used a speciality lemon artichoke pesto I had)
Add cooked Brussel sprouts, any cheese you desire (I used chunks of Manchego), prosciutto, and drizzle with balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper
Broil for 2-4ish minutes until cheese melted and crust nice and crispy
In same pan you cooked Brussel Sprouts fry 2-3 eggs
Top pizza with fried eggs and arugula
Turkey Meatloaf + Mashed Cauliflower + Simple Side Salad
How to Make:
I use this really simple turkey meatloaf recipe (buy the pre diced onions and whole wheat bread crumbs from TJ)
Cook the frozen mashed cauliflower per package directions
Simple salad: Organic Smoothie Juicing & Salad Mix, microgreens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, manchego cheese, and tossed with Green Goddess dressing
Cauliflower Rice Chicken (or shrimp) Stir Fry
(not pictured)
How to Make:
Cook TJ frozen cauliflower rice stir fry per package directions (I added extra frozen broccoli and peas)
2 chicken breast cooked and chopped (I usually bake my chicken)
Add chicken to stir fry pan and mix
Add coconut aminos
Top with sliced green onion and siracha 😉
(You can also throw in some scrambled eggs in here)
Let me know if you try any of these recipes. Enjoy!
