H E A T H E R
I haven’t purchased this serum in the past due to the price tag and not really knowing what it was meant for.. fast forward to this past month where I saw it all over some makeup tutorial videos/content creators I follow and decided to give it a try. I lean toward a glowy, hydrated face underneath my makeup as I tend to run on the dry side. So first, I apply my face primer that I have raved about before and let that dry fully. Then I take the magic serum and mix that with my illuminator drops from last month’s favorites for a bronzed, hydrated base. Then apply foundation/tinted moisturizer, etc.
In addition to makeup tutorials, I have reached the hair health side of TikTok and this drug store coconut oil should not be overlooked. Water is one of the most damaging substances for our hair as it expands the follicles and applying an oil prior to getting in the shower can be extremely beneficial to protect your hair. I typically only wash my hair 1-2x a week and I apply coconut oil to the base of my hair (not the scalp/root) and let it sit for an hour before washing (and you shoul be shampooing twice especially if applying an oil to ensure it gets all the way out). I have noticed it leaves my hair feeling silkier when styling and I am hopeful I am doing less damage to it when showering.
Alix and I both bought these leggings this past month and they’re my new favorites for athleisure. They fit so well, have compression, feel like they hold it all in, and are a cozy fabric. I don’t find myself hiking them up from falling down and they’re just a solid legging in my opinion. I have other Vuori pieces but never splurged on the leggings since I am not necessarily working out in them but glad Alix and I had a moment of weakness together in the store and took the plunge on these.
This is the outfit I change into every day when I get home from errands and carting children around to their various activities. I wouldn’t necessarily wear it out and about (I would wear the black version out with a jacket) but the fabric is ridiculously soft (think SKIMS). It’s a rather thin material but that’s what I like most.. it’s so lightweight and comfortable. One of our followers even said it was husband approved lol aka they love the tight fit 🙂 When athleisure and grunge clothing gets the significant other’s nod of approval you know it’s a win.

I’m likely late the game here (what’s new), but I was at my dermatologist last month and they encouraged me to try this tinted SPF. I wear this everyday as my face SPF. The coverage is so good, but it still feels very light on. I’ve started add a drop of liquid bronzer to brighten it up more and the combo is great. I wear shade medium.
I’ve been on a kick making this balsamic Mediterranean salad recipe on a Sunday meal prep day and having it on hand all week. My husband also approves of this recipe FYI. Anyways, this vegetable chopper is a game changer when it comes to making these trendy salads. It saves so much time and everything is neatly chopped. Next I want to try the viral Italian chop salad Heather made this week It’s also easy to clean don’t worry 😉
I got the shirt I linked above in white (sized up to a M) and it works perfect with leggings or bike shorts. Looks cute with a shacket or blazer thrown over. I also love this oversized Ralph Lauren Pocket T Shirt. Can’t wait to wear it with jeans this spring or bike shorts this summer.
I refrained from buying this water bottle for a while because another water bottle is truly the last thing I needed. However, I was in need of a water bottle without an exposed straw that I could easily throw in a purse and not worry about leaking. This has become a go-to water bottle for traveling and work days. I got the 24 oz one so it wouldn’t be too heavy while traveling. It comes in a lot of fun colors and I can tell you that these are trendy right now because I work with college students and they all have them 😉
