Do I really need to eat 1g protein per pound of body weight?
Not necessarily. I wrote up my protein recommendations here. Ideally 1.2-1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is adequate! To figure out your weight in kilograms take your body weight in pounds and divide it by 2.2. Use that number and multiply it by 1.2-1.5 depending on how active you are and that will give you a better protein goal.
Can you link some cute fleece jackets for the cold weather?
Can you link your favorite recipes you used to make the granola, energy bites, chia seed pudding, etc.
Pumpkin chia seed pudding, apple crisp granola, I usually make some version of these energy bites
What new skincare products have you added to your routine lately with the colder months looming?
I wrote an updated skincare blog post here but here are some new additions I love:
I love my Uggs and wear them constantly but need a mule or slide I can also wear with jeans that looks a little more put together than slippers.
These are my current favorite slides. Pair them up with jeans or down with leggings/sweats. My go to school drop off/pick up shoe.
How do you budget for facials, massages, and other self-care as a SAHM? I feel guilty indulging in these things when I’m not bringing in a paycheck.
I totally get this feeling and there’s no easy answer here as everyone’s financial situation is different. When I quit my job to raise the boys 8 years ago, my husband and I sat down and discussed budgeting, where we would need to peel back, and how much each of us required each month to feel our best (for him that’s golf and all his fun “toys” and for me it’s nails, hair, skin lol). You have to do what’s right for your family but my husband and I each get the exact same amount of money each month (sure, it’s from his paycheck because mine is invisible but let’s be clear, it’s invaluable) to go towards whatever we want without the other questioning or even seeing it. If my husband saw some of my skincare bills, he might keel over. This is what works best for us at the moment and maybe it changes down the road but for now, I budget for my hair appointments, massages, shopping, nails, whatever it may be based on what I guess you would call an “allowance.” But again, my husband sets aside the same amount for himself and the rest goes to joint expenses like the mortgage and bills.
I’ve had these UGG slippers before and like them, but want something similar but not UGGs…any recs?
I really like these as you can wear them around the house or to run a quick errand. These look just like the UGGs you like, but like much cheaper 😉
I’m really into brown right now and want dark brown leggings for the fall. Any you like?
I love these ribbed leggings in java | these in dark chocolate heather | these in sequoia or lava cake
