My friend is hosting Thanksgiving dinner. What would be a good hostess gift to bring besides wine?
The best thing I ever received was this Jo Malone hand soap for my guest washroom or a really nice diffuser (I have received compliments on both of these every single time someone uses our bathroom). I also love a candle.. I know, it’s so basic but a GOOD one will be appreciated. This one is HEAVEN SENT.
Can you link good thick socks to wear with combat boots? I’m also looking for a little longer of a pair to wear with boots and leggings like this look.
I just got these scrunch socks off Amazon.. don’t knock them! They are coming back and so comfy even just lounging in your joggers but are also perfect under a combat boot. If you want a no show sock but also thick, Alix and I love these the most! They are a workout/running sock but we both wear them with our uggs and combat boots too!
I just got engaged and need a flowy dress for engagement photos! It’s cold out so maybe something with sleeves but will freeze for fashion 😉
Congrats girl! And I appreciate the sacrifice you’re willing to make in the name of FASHUN! Here are some inspo ideas:
What suggestions did you get for teacher gifts this year? I know – no mugs or candy!
I polled the audience and here is what I got from the teachers who follow us: Email a gift card (this is the best), the only mug should be a Yeti, no chocolate, no ornaments, no need to make a handcrafted Pinterest thing, no repackaged gift (like Harry and David). Honestly, a hand written thank you card from a student is best along with a gift card. Another teacher said: all of the teachers I work with love getting wine (card should be signed by the family and not wine just from the student since that’s kind of inappropriate lol). Also, depending on how much you want to spend a Glassybaby candle is a good one and you let the kid pick the color. Restaurant group gift cards or one with multiple locations as opposed to single restaurants are also better!
Alix- I need your recommendation on a non-dairy coffee creamer. I know you’ve posted about them before but there are SO many on the market and I know you prefer the ones with no added sugar. Can you rate your favorites? Califa, Malk, Oat-ly, So.. there’s just too many and I need help with the best tasting one but also not loaded with sugar.
So many options these days! I like Califia Better Half Creamer or Nutpods they both have no added sugars and taste pretty good IMO. The Nutpod creamer also froths really well- I use this frother. The Oat-ly creamers I have seen have up to 7 grams added sugar, so check the label. I also recently tried Laird superfood creamer from Whole Foods and really liked it.
I want a plaid wool-blend coat, I know so specific, but can’t seem to find anything under $300! Any recs?
Yes! Found the perfect one and it’s currently 50% off and only $99! SNAG IT!
You haven’t done too many beauty recommendations lately. Any new must haves or makeup/beauty finds you care to share?
I know, I was just thinking this and honestly it’s because we don’t GO ANYWHERE lol. I am never wearing makeup but that doesn’t mean I’m not trying to take care of my skin. Right now, I am just trying to be really consistent. I use iS Clinical complex cleanser and this cult favorite spot treatment for breakouts. I always follow up with my sun screen and tanning drops 3x a week for extra glow. If I need some coverage, I am loving this Beautycounter dew skin tinted moisturizer.
I need a new pair of winter gloves for outdoor walks, park dates, etc. Can you link a few pairs under $50.
Here are some gloves we love for the winter:
