What is the difference between the Lululemon aligns and wunder under pants? I have the aligns, but thinking I want to try the wunder under leggings. Any experience?
I own several pairs of both and they are really different. The aligns use their nulu fabric and it’s super soft and feels like butter on. I wear these for more low impact and less sweaty workouts like walking, barre, errands, lounging around the house, etc. The wunder unders are a bit thicker material and dry quickly after a sweaty workout. I wear these for HIIT, spin, running (when I could), etc. I love both styles of leggings it just depends on what activity you’re wanting new leggings for.
Can you link some affordable + oversized band tees (or regular t-shirts) that would look cute over leggings?
This is when I always browse the men’s sections of Target and H&M! Getting a men’s small or medium is the best remedy for finding length in your band tees. Would look super cool with a leather jacket or puffer over it in these cold months. Here are some favorites:
Alix- can you link the glass bottles you used to make your green juices at home?
These are the glass bottles I bought and they are perfect for making your own juices or smoothies and taking them on the go. I love that they are glass and come in a 6-pack, so I have juices for the week!
Wait, workout studios are back open in Seattle? I saw you each went to barre and yoga. How was it wearing a mask the whole time?
Yes and we are so happy for our favorite, small business studios that are able to safely reopen. Inslee gave the green light for fitness studios to open back up as long as you’re wearing a mask and the proper safety precautions are in place. Heather took a yoga class but they turned the heat way down and so it didn’t feel all that bad wearing a mask. I think a Corepower heated yoga flow would be really hard in a mask but what I took was very moderate and slow paced. The mask didn’t bother me at all.
Heather- can you link the camel overcoat you are wearing in a lot of Instagram stories and on the blog? I love it!
I alternate between my J.Crew one and Mango coat.. they are very similar. The Mango one is a bit more oversized and “boyfriend” and the J.Crew one is a bit more classic and fitted/refined.
What are your favorite Sephora or drug store beauty products as of late?
I have a few tried and true empties from both Sephora and the drug store! the Laneige lip mask is a MUST. It’s a staple and has a place in my car, in my purse, and on my vanity. Drunk Elephant TLC Babyfacial mask (not for pregnant mamas) I use 1-2x a week for serious exfoliation and baby smooth skin. Tan Luxe tanning drops you can add to your moisturizer for an instant glow. From Target, I have every version of NYX lipgloss in any color pink hue they make. I don’t do the matte.. always butter gloss. Lastly, L’Oreal’s voluminous double sided mascara has my heart and the one I reach for time and time again. Here is everything:
Alix- I also have to get the gum recession surgery and freaking out. Can you please share the responses you got on Instagram?
Ugh! I got so many responses to this story and overall actually feel less scared about it. There were a few horror stories about it either not working or how painful the recovery was, but there were more positive responses than negative. A lot of people said it was not the worst thing ever (obviously not enjoyable) but that it wasn’t as bad as expected and I would be fine. People said to make sure stitches are pulled out too soon, you follow recovery instructions closely (esp. about working out), and to be as sedated as possible…which I plan to be 😉
Alix can you link the knife set Quinn uses in the kitchen with you?
I got her something similar to this set . She loves to have her own kitchen stuff and honestly if I let her help with dinner prep she eats SO much better than if I don’t get her involved. It doesn’t happen every night, but when she shows interests and asks I try and find easy tasks for her.
