I’m looking for some new spring slides. Can you link some neutral and affordable options? Thinking under $100.
You’re in luck because my post on Monday is all about Spring slides and sandals! But here is a sneak peak of some of my favorites:
Alix- do you plan to get the vaccine pregnant? I know you research everything and wanted to know your thoughts. I’ve heard it’s safe for pregnant people to get.
If I get the opportunity to get vaccinated right now I likely would. I talked my doctor about it and she said in the 3rd trimester and breastfeeding she would tell me to go for it. From what I’ve read, heard, and seen it appears safer than potential consequences of getting the virus while pregnant. I’m also hopeful that by the time baby girl is here in June most people around me are vaccinated. Obviously everyone needs to make a decision that feels right for them and their family, and I recommend talking it through with your doctor.
Heather I’m so jealous of your new Peloton treadmill! Can you give us a review on it and how did you found it used?!
So, we had a treadmill in our gym from Costco.. an inexpensive one that we quickly realized wasn’t going to make it lol. It was SO noisy and just wasn’t enjoyable to run on. Our neighbor has the Peloton tread and Britt became obsessed overnight. And if you know my husband, he is a dog with a bone. So he randomly was searching for Peloton Treads and came up with nothing online (we didn’t want to purchase brand new). However, as we know the internet is always listening to us and an ad popped up through Facebook Marketplace that a tread was for sale near us. My husband instantly emailed asking if it was available, it was, and so we went to see it and bought it that day. So, this actually had nothing to do with me and I somehow didn’t have to spend 4 months convincing my husband we needed a Peloton tread.. a true win for me, guys.
Anyways, the tread is AWESOME. It is so quiet and FUN to run on… not many people look forward to a run or brisk walk but now I do. The thing is massive, though so you need the space. And the screen is bigger than some TVs in my house. It was worth every (used) penny in my opinion.
My feet hurt from the Peloton shoes too! Can you link your foot massager?
Maybe my Peloton shoes are too tight lol but yes, they go numb sometimes! So after a ride, I love to massage 🙂 This is the one we both have and love.. but it needs to be plugged into an outlet to work so keep that in mind!
Has the Mella or Hatch clock worked for your boys since you purchased them? Do they stay in bed until the light turns green? I just don’t think it will work on my kids!
I was so skeptical on this concept but it has worked on both of the boys so far. Cameron was coming into our room consistently around 4:45 am and hasn’t since he got the Mella clock in his room. I also think that when he wakes up at that time and sees that it’s not green, he stays put and eventually falls back asleep and ends up sleeping later than usual. The Hatch was recommended by most of you and so I got that for Jackson’s room. It can be controlled on your phone, which is cool I guess but not entirely necessary. I feel like something Bluetooth related just has a greater chance of malfunctioning or breaking at some point. The Mella works perfectly fine and battery (or plug in) operated.. the bells and whistles aren’t needed in my opinion. The concept is the exact same and while the Hatch may be more aesthetically pleasing, I’d probably choose the Mella over the Hatch if I had to pick.
Where do you buy inexpensive rugs for your home? We also have dogs that chew or have accidents so I am not interested in anything over $1,000!
I usually get my rugs from Home Goods, which are just lucky “scores” I find! However, I recently bought two rugs from Ruggable and impressed with the quality, look and feel! I just got this one for my living room and this one for my dining room as it is a dupe for a Serena and Lily one that is over 2k!
I love the Target king lounger pillows but don’t know how to style them. I also need recommendations for nice sheets and a comforter! Help!
I have about a million pillows on my bed so the king loungers just blend right in! I have two sleeping pillows stacked on top of each other, then three Euro shams in a row, then the two king loungers, and then a decorative lumbar pillow in front.. it’s a lot but it’s a cloud of COMFORT. If you can get to a Home Goods, this is where I buy most of my decorative pillows but Pottery Barn always has comfortable, quality options that will last for years and years.
I am having a baby soon and don’t know what to ask for as a push present.. any ideas for my husband wink wink?!
Our favorite push present would be our personalized necklaces with your kid’s initials. It’s easy to send the necklace back and add more initials if you have more babies!
Heather – where did you buy all of your new lighting from and can you link your chandeliers?
All of my chandeliers are from Circa Lighting. I have this one in my formal living, this one in my formal dining, and this one in my informal dining room! I plan to purchase a large lantern for the front entryway and a new pendant for the kitchen when we do some remodeling updates in the fall.
Alix can you link the body pillow you got. Are you liking it so far?
This is the pillow I got. I’ve only used it once and it worked half the night. I toss and turn a lot and half way through the night I had to throw the pillow on the ground. I sleep a lot on my back and just put 2 pillows under my head to keep me elevated. I think the pillow is really comfortable I just need to get used to it.
