I’m attending a wedding this summer and need outfit inspiration. What to wear?!
Yay for weddings and being able to attend in person! Wear something bright.. no black! It’s time to celebrate 🙂 Here are my picks:
I haven’t worn makeup in a year and need a whole refresh (most of my makeup expired)! Brushes, foundation, bronzer, blush, and lipgloss. Help!
Head to Sephora and pick up a bunch of brushes from their line.. it’s affordable but still quality! If you want to splurge on a few makeup items, do that with your foundation/tinted moisturizer and bronzer. Here are my favorites:

So much has changed the past 5 years! I wrote a post here about the items I’m most excited to try this time around. I think I’m most excited to have a hands-free pump, the DocATot, and Halo bassinet!
I know this could be a whole blog post and maybe it is?! But what is your take on diet culture and everything being thrown in our face being gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and grain-free?! I believe I read somewhere you believe in “intuitive eating.” What does that mean?
I wrote a blog posts on intuitive eating here and why I’m a non-diet dietitian here and another article about why I think it’s so ridiculous how we have to label our eating these day here. Basically my take is that it’s all become a bit too much and overwhelming even for someone in the industry. I believe in cutting foods out that truly cause you not to feel well and there is a true food intolerance/allergy. Cutting out entire food groups in the name of health or weight loss is not realistic, may cause you to miss out on key nutrients, and set you up fail/feel guilty/over eat those foods. It doesn’t need to be so black and white…I believe it’s important for people to have food freedom and flexibility with their eating because I think I very restrictive diet can lead to disordered eating and also missing out on social food experiences.
I want to get a “Mama” necklace or something personalized with my son’s initials/name for Mother’s Day (treating myself!) and see so many options. What are your favorites?

Do you have an air fryer and if so, do you love it and why?! Can you make more than just French fries and chicken nuggets in it?
Yes! I (Heather) have an air fryer.. this one is my favorite and I love the white combo option. We cook everything in there; not just food for the kids. It crisps up vegetables, pizza, fish, literally anything you can think of. And it’s quick… couldn’t recommend it more!
I need a bag to carry for all the outdoor sporting events for my kids.. something wipeable! What do you bring with you to the field?

Alix- is it safe to drink electrolytes (even with the high salt intake) during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes, and the extra sodium and electrolytes are even more necessary during pregnancy and breastfeeding! Some people need 5-6 grams of sodium in pregnancy…we need to ditch the old school thoughts about sodium causing pre-eclampsia as there isn’t strong evidence to support this. There is more evidence to indicate the benefits of having adequate sodium and electrolyte balance for the health of mom and baby. Sodium is also a key component of breast milk. This doesn’t mean you should load up on all the salty chips, fast food, and pre-packaged foods that are super high in sodium. I like to get my extra sodium and electrolyte needs met through adding one packet LMNT to my 40 oz water bottle a day. They also just came out with a new watermelon flavor I ordered and can’t wait to try!
