Any Father’s Day gift ideas? My husband is so hard to shop for!
Ugh aren’t they all? If he’s a BBQ guy, you can get the green egg or whatever it is lol along with this grill set. A Yeti cooler is a super nice gift. This fire pit is pretty rad. Lastly a Bose speaker is always a hit!
I’m looking for some new basic (and affordable) tank tops for the summer…any you love?
Yes, I just purchased this tank in every color and love it! Also love this target find!
Do you guys use CBD products? Looking for drops to help with anxiety- any recs?
Alix- I stopped when I got pregnant, but I was using Green Compass CBD at night to help with sleep and anxiety. I plan to restart when I’m done breastfeeding. I also liked these hemp bath bombs!
Heather – I do like the Equilibria drops but haven’t purchased it in awhile.. so thanks for the reminder to place an order!
Alix- are you using any baby resources online for sleep or breastfeeding?
My friend had a baby a few months ago and passed along some resources she found helpful that I’ve been looking into. Karing for Postpartum has some good resource/courses esp. for breastfeeding. Taking Cara Babies has a good sleep course. I also follow Full Feedings and Sleep Shop (Melissa is great and an old family friend) on Insta for great tips and if I get desperate enough might sign up for a package lol!
I want a new natural eye shadow palette for summer. Do you have a favorite?
Yep.. love a Charlotte Tilbury palette the most.. her Pillow Talk edition is gorgeous.
Did Alix use adaptogens while pregnant like the Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee, elixers, etc? I’m in my second trimester and wondering if I can be drinking those again. What about kombucha?
I didn’t really use adaptogens mostly because the products didn’t sound good. First trimester nothing sounded good, so I stopped really drinking coffee and my Four Sigmatic mixes. By second and third trimester I just wanted a cup of regular coffee in the morning. I didn’t stop for safety reasons, more preference. I know plenty of people who used those products throughout pregnancy. Of course always ask your doctor for peace of mind, although most doctors are not typically savvy in adaptogens so might be a good idea to bring the products you like with you to your appointment. Kombucha wise, I cut back in general because of caffeine and sugar content but I did drink a few here and there during my second and third trimester when I wanted something fun to drink. I like to water down the kombucha with sparkling water and make one bottle last for 2 servings/days.
Do either of you plan to go back to workout studios again like Orange Theory or barre?
Alix- With a new baby, I’ve never been more excited to have a Peloton and the app to workout at home. While I really do miss group fitness classes and probably workout harder in that setting, it’s not going to be an option for me for a while. I’m hopeful to get my meniscus repaired before the end of the year (for insurance purposes) then would love to eventually be able to get 1-2 Orange Theory classes a week again. That was always one of my favorite ways to start the day with a 5am butt kicking while everyone was still sleeping 😉
Heather- I started doing CorePower Yoga again and LOVE it (I have a good friend who teaches, so that makes it even more fun) but the only downfall is that you still have to wear a mask in class, which is a bit of an added challenge. I look forward to taking more classes in the future but having our own at home gym is so ideal.
Can you link your white pouf in the baby nursery?
Ugh, I don’t see the white online anymore, but here’s the same one I have in gold and silver and on sale! This white one is super cute. You can always check out Homegoods too for a cheaper option…they typically have cute ones in stock.
Heather- what is your new coffee machine? It looks fancy… what all does it do and how much counter space does it take up?
We got the Jura E8 and yes, she fancy and love love love it! It can make all the different coffees from a basic cup of coffee to an Americano to a latte or flat white, and has a hot water option for tea. It self-cleans, too! Pricey but we don’t find ourselves at Starbucks as often and the Nespresso was equally as expensive if you counted up all the pods we used! The Jura takes beans and I love being able to change it up and try different espressos!
