My birthday is coming up and I have no idea what I want! What are your favorite gifts you’ve gotten, either because you asked specifically for it or something you were surprised by but totally love?
Our favorite present is our personalized initial necklaces by Maya Brenner. Heather also just got this one she gets complimented on constantly! Now that we are getting back to somewhat normal life, now would be the time to ask for a new handbag maybe?! Love this black one. We’ve always enjoyed getting higher end items as birthday presents since we wouldn’t normally splurge on it ourselves.. like Golden Goose sneaks. Another favorite gift is a day at the spa for a massage and facial.. full blown pampering without any responsibilities :)Actually mark that one at the top of our list. Give us a hotel robe, room service and chick flicks for a night!
Can you please link some fall decor that’s understated and not super cheesy?
Yes.. loving these patterned pumpkins to throw in a bowl, white pumpkins scattered about your fireplace mantle, these velvet pumpkins, and this fall wreath.
Do you have a good dupe for the Agolde 90’s fit jeans?
Can you link your favorite Lack of Color and Janessa Leone hats for fall?
ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR| FIVE
I need some new bedside table lamps but don’t want to spend a fortune. Seen any cute, neutral ones?!
I love these for a modern feel, these would look beautiful in any neutral space, and I also adore these but they are a bit pricier. Always check your local Home Goods and Target for inexpensive matching lamps! I have always been successful 😉
My baby shower is in December what would be some cute outfit ideas?
Congrats! We love a body con style dress to show off the bump! This dress in navy or eggplant with a sweater and booties, this dress is adorable, this sweater dress, this dress or this dress with tights and booties. Also love this dress. So may cute options.
Alix- how is the magic merlin sleepsuit working for Kinsley? How is she sleeping?
So far it’s been great! She has been using it for almost a week now consistently for naps and night time and she seems to like it! This did not work well for Quinn or maybe I didn’t try it long enough, but it seems to be a win with Kinsley so far. Her sleep is improving a bit…I hope that was the 4 month regression she went through and it’s behind us, but I feel like there is always some sort or regression or transition going on. Typically she goes down between 7:00-7:30pm and wakes up once in the middle of the night then back down till 6:30-7:00am. Sometimes it’s hard to get her to go back down and she’s restless. Right now I’m still feeding her when she wakes in the middle of the night even though I know she can (and has) gone through the night without being fed. I plan to drop this feed soon- just so hard!
Do you guys use sound machines for your kids? Recently someone told me you’re not supposed to?
Yes! We are both big sound machine fans for the kids rooms. We both use the Hatch and highly recommend it. I think it’s like all things with kids there are different ideas for these kind of things…like with pacifiers, sleep sacks, etc. The sleep experts we follow and trust all are big believers in the use of sound machines in helping kids fall asleep and stay asleep. Quinn actually asks for her “music” and loves her sound machine til this day. I also use this portable sound machine in Kinsley’s car seat to signal to her when I want her to take a car seat nap.
xx,
