When you started solids, did you feed Kins something at your meal time? I know you have an early bedtime like we do, but I don’t necessarily always want to eat dinner super early?
I started with dinner because that is what worked best with our schedule at the time. Quinn was eating dinner around 5:30 and we would give Kins solids then too. Sometimes we ate as a family and other days we fed the kids first and ate after they went to bed. It doesn’t matter what ”meal time” you start with as much as just finding one time a day to give solids that works best with your schedule. Then working your way up to feeding 2 x day and 3 x day around 12 months. Kins now eat 3 meals a day with 1-2 snacks between meals and I try my best to eat with her or feed her during family meal times.
Are Bomba socks worth the price? They seem $$ for socks.
Bombas are the only socks I workout in. Yes they are a little $$ for socks, but so so comfortable. They don’t slip when working out and have good cushion for walking and running.
Alix what are yoga toes and what are the benefits of putting your legs up the wall before bed?
I have these yoga toes and use them at night before bed when my feet feel tight. It helps stretch the toes and alleviate sore/tired feet. I had a massage yesterday and she mentioned how tight my arches are, so I’m recommitted to using my yoga toes more often. I also have been putting my legs up the wall because I’m super active during the day and my legs are so tired before bed. It helps with fatigued legs, improve circulation, help with knee pain, stretches back of legs, and just helps me feel more relaxed and calm before bed.
Alix do you count macros?
No. Never have and never have recommended. I think it can be confusing for some and makes you preoccupied with numbers. I think it is important to be mindful about getting enough grams of protein at each meal (20-30 grams per meal) and getting in a good source of fat and fiber per meal as well. This will help you feel full and satisfied and less room for refined carbs, sugar, and less nutrient dense foods. Focus on what you should be having with each meal, not what you should not be having 😉
