I’m looking for a medium sized tote that is chic, but won’t break the bank. Any recs?
We both just got the Naghedi tote.. Heather got size large in cream and Alix got medium black! We found ours on St. Bernard’s website because they had the colors we wanted but Shopbop and Bloomingdales have some colors, too!
I know it’s crazy to think about already, but I’m wanting to get my kids Christmas pjs and the cute ones sell out fast. Do you have any favorites for the kids?
Target has our favorite PJ’s for the kids. Their Cat and Jack line is super cute and SOFT! Love these! Little Sleepies are another favorite and Hanna Anderson holiday pjs are 40% off right now!
Can you list some more no added sugar snack/dessert ideas? I have trouble with those the most!
Almond butter and fruit, hummus and veggies, avocado toast (check bread labels), popcorn, edamame, greek yogurt, chia seed pudding, chomps, Evolved no added sugar chocolate, nuts and fruit, Hu grain free cookies, Bulletproof bars, and bone broth.
How do you decide on family picture outfits? I don’t even know where to begin and we have pictures scheduled next month.
Pinterest is your best friend here. And I think the simpler the better. I go on Pinterest and look for inspiration and then I pick a color palette. This year, was just creams and tans/browns. If you’re going with a bolder color, don’t put everyone in a pattern. Find one person’s outfit in the family (preferably your own) and work off of that. Don’t over complicate it! Keep it simple, stupid 😉
I need a new living room rug that is neutral (not too busy), but will hide dirt and stains with kids and a dog. Probably about 10×10 or 9×11? Thank you!
Ruggable FTW. I don’t think 10×10 or 9×11 is a common shape but 9×12 is. This one is my favorite on their site and I have it in my living room. Rugs USA also has some great options on the cheap.
Can you link the Jenni Kayne dupe earring again?
Coffee table book recs?
I get all of mine at Home Goods (love that you can shop their site now) or Amazon (I saw this book in a boutique in Park City for like $85 so Amazon was a hell of a deal).
Do you have a lash primer you like? Does it help keep your mascara from smudging?
I like the Tarte lash primer a lot. It helps so much with keeping mascara from smudging.
Have you taken Peloton meditations for bed? If so, which ones do you recommend?
Alix does them a few times a week. The 10 minute relax/sleep meditations with Aditi, Kristen, and Anna and deep relaxation meditations with Chelsea.
I am currently breastfeeding and having some milk supply and clogging issues. Do you remember anything you used as remedies?
My girlfriend in Park City was pumping the whole time and brought back all the PTSD lol #triggered. Kidding, but she mentioned this line of products that has worked wonders for her.
Shampoo/conditioner recs? I prefer less chemicals but my hair is so greasy now I can’t care.
Heather uses all Oribe products and have no complaints! I did a whole hair care post here. Alix uses R+Co shampoo and conditioner. As for brushes, we don’t use anything fancy! Literally a pick from Target.
How many sessions do you expect it to take for laser hair removal? Is it permanent?
I bought a package for 6 and have seen great results, but will likely need 1-2 more sessions. She says most people need two packages (12 sessions), but since I had been waxing for over 10 years religiously every 4-6 weeks my hair was already so much thinner. I think it does last a while. My sister had it done over 12 years ago and is now needing to go back in for touch up sessions, so I don’t think it 100% lasts forever, but I’m sure everyone’s results are different. Overall, it’s been an easy experience and I wish I had done it years ago rather than wasting time and money on waxing. Waxing hurts more IMO.
xx, Alix + Heather
