I’ll be hosting a baby shower soonish and I’m looking for recommendations for restaurants in the Seattle/Bellevue/Kirkland area. Thinking brunch/lunch for about 15-20 people. Have you hosted or attended any good ones in the area?
Here are my recs: Como Kirkland, Encanto Kirkland, The Lakehouse Bellevue, Cantinetta Bellevue, Sandia Laurelhurst
Any faux plant recommendations? Small size for shelf. Also, any front porch faux plant recs? Embarrassing I need this but I absolutely cannot keep a plant alive!
I have some faux plants in my house as well and #noshame. I splurged on Pottery Barn and Restoration faux plants since that money would otherwise be spent on switching out real plants every month. As for outdoor plants, my husband got these for our front porch and they look very real cuz we, too, couldn’t keep them alive.
I hate all of my jeans in my closet and need to revamp. What brands do you love most?
I know Levi’s aren’t for everyone but they are my go-to. I also love Agolde and recently came across this pair (and brand) but they are pricey. I haven’t splurged yet but tempted.
Where can I find your holiday recs and gift guides?
Our 2023 Holiday Gift Guides will be updated in two places: here and here.
Are you still taking Nutrafol? If so, do you notice a difference with hair health? Any side effects? I turned 40 in May and even with my daily collagen and multivitamins, I have noticed my hair thinning. Wondering if adding the hair supplement would be worth it.
I (Heather) still take Nutrafol and 100% noticed when I stopped using it for a period of time. My hair is significantly thicker and healthier on the supplement. I have really fine hair (and not a lot of it) so Nutrafol is necessary. I can literally FEEL the difference when I take it and when I stop. No side effects but it’s 4 pills per day and I hate the taste of them even though you just swallow them lol. But when I don’t take it my hair is thinner and sad haha.
I (Alix) have been taking since I was 4 months postpartum with Kinsley to help manage postpartum hair loss. I’ve recently been trying to cut back on my supplements/subscriptions and my hair girl said I don’t need this supplement anymore because I’ve always had pretty thick hair and my hair is in good shape right now. I’m going to trial off it next month when I run out of my pills. I have had no issues taking it for over 2 years and feel like it really did help with preventing hair loss, new hair growth, and thickness.
I want to get my husband a pickleball paddle for his birthday. We don’t play a lot, but what would be a good starter paddle?
I have this one and LOVE it, but it’s $$. I started with this one and like it and this is also an option with a good price point. Add pickleballs to the present too 😉
What are your husband’s favorite joggers? Need to get mine a new pair for Christmas.
Both our husbands love these.
I checked out the Burn app you guys posted about. What bands do you use and what do you use for the step ups?
I just have cheap ones from Amazon and I like all the different resistance options. You don’t need anything fancy and don’t let anyone sell you on anything more. For the step ups, I was using a weight bench we have that my husband uses, but it’s too tall and was hurting my knees when coming down. I was looking into buying this step (very 90’s step class vibes) but my husband said he’d just build me one lol so stay tuned. In the meantime I just modify.
