Any good postnatal vitamins or nutrition to help with hair loss? I’m shedding like a cheap rug!
Ugh it’s the worst! Continue taking the prenatal vitamins you took while pregnant- you still need all those nutrients esp. if nursing. Adding in a biotin supplement may be helpful. Daily collagen like Vital Proteins may also help the situation. I’ve heard good things about these vitamins, but haven’t personally tried them. If you’re feeling like this is persisting longer than normal (it can last up to a year) have your MD run some labs… check iron status.
Dietary wise…hello fats and protein! You really want to make sure your fatty acid intake is UP! Take an Omega supplement or aim for 3 servings of fatty fish a week! Other foods to focus on that are said to help with hair growth are eggs, sweet potatoes, blueberries, sunflower seeds, walnuts, beans, asparagus, and spinach. Good luck mama!
I want a camel coat for the upcoming season and not sure where to begin. Have you seen any worth purchasing during your online browsing?
Camel coats are a staple in my opinion and will never go out of style. I have one from All Saints (it used to come in tan but now only in cream and black.. both still GORG options) and it was one of the best investments I made because I know I’ll have it forever. But I’ve linked some more options below.. at all price points.
What’s your take on Golden Goose sneakers and would you ever invest in a pair?
Back when Golden Goose became popular, I swore up and down I would NEVER buy a pair because 1. they’re expensive AF and 2. who would pay for a pair of $500 sneakers that LOOK like someone dragged them through the mud? Not me. And then, of course, I saw some of my favorite bloggers like Somewhere, Lately rocking them and I was like, “Ok, I get it.” I haven’t invested in a pair and not sure I ever will unless a bucket of money shows up on my doorstep but I do find some of them really cute. What is coconut butter and how it is different from coconut oil? And why are you adding it to your smoothies?
Coconut butter also contains the flesh (meat) of the coconut- not just the oil, so you get all the fat, fiber, and nutrients from the whole coconut. Think of it like the difference between peanut oil and peanut butter 😉
Coconut butter is thicker and adds a lot of flavor to a smoothie. You can also melt it and add when making granola, oatmeal, pancakes, etc. I like the brand Artisan Organics coconut butter (I get it at Whole Foods) but just ordered this one and excited to add to my smoothies!
What is the new B12 vitamin you’re taking and what’s it supposed to do?
Vitamin B12 is a really important vitamin and deficiency is most typically an issue for vegetarians and vegans. I am neither, but have been feeling more fatigue lately. Other symptoms of B12 deficiency (that I’m thankfully not experiencing) include confusion, cognitive impairment, unsteady gait, numbness, and tingling. Top B12 food sources include…shellfish, liver, mackerel, crab, tofu, fortified cereal, dairy, fermented cheese (swiss) and eggs. *Nutritional yeast is a vegan source of B12* (so good on popcorn btw)
Anyways, I think my diet is adequate, but since significantly decreasing dairy intake (for acne reasons) and some days I don’t get adequate animal protein, so I’m just seeing if adding in a B12 helps round out my diet and give me an energy boost. Also for best absorption you want a supplement that methylated. I like experimenting on myself so I’ll keep you posted 😉

I saw your Instastory where you added matcha to your citrus juice.. what is this new flavor combo and are there health benefits?
OK for those that missed the instastory I combined a Pressed Citrus 1 + Matcha Love packet (they sell these at Pressed). Props to my sister for scooping me on this combo. You can’t really taste the matcha and it dissolves well without any clumps. So it is just a different way to get in matcha (and all of it’s benefits) without the work of making a matcha tea latte.
Ready to invest in a pair of over-the-knee boots for fall and winter. Point me in the right direction, please!
