How long do you keep a hair mask in before you wash it? Do you sleep with it overnight? How do you cover it so it doesn’t get all over your bedding?
I learned about this product (don’t be afraid of drug store shampoos, conditioners, masks, and heat protectants!) from Abbey Yung. Give her a follow on Instagram or TikTok because she’s an actual trichologist and knows the science behind all of the products she speaks about so I trust her. Anyways, I use the mask at least 1x a week before wash day. Sometimes I sleep in it and sometimes I just wear it all day before a shower at night. If I sleep in it, I put the mask in a few hours before bedtime and it dries. I just put my hair in a loose bun and will sleep on my silk pillow case and wash it the next day. Or I cover my hair with a silk wrap but the mask does dry in the hair and I still just wash my pillow case.
While we’re talking drug store hair products, Abbey turned me on to this shampoo and conditioner and honestly, for $10, my hair has never felt better. Now, I am no longer dying or coloring my hair but even if I was, I think I’d still be using drug store products thanks to her videos. She has a number of drug store recs that I follow and my hair is the healthiest it’s been in years.
I’ve seen the Target perfumes and candles by Fine’ry and heard they are dupes for a few different designers. Do you know which ones?
