What is the new tanning product you’ve been loving? Does it smell bad?
I (Heather) recently got this mist and have been using it on my face, neck and chest to build a gradual glow/tan since I feel ugly when I’m super pale lol. Alix and I went to Nordstrom together and she picked up this version (same brand just different application). This brand is new to me but it smells great and not like that typical tanning lotion smell. So far, we’re both loving these products to build a natural looking tan.
What winter moisturizer are we using right now? My skin is so dry!
For a medical grade moisturizer, Sente Dermal Repair is my favorite but it’s pricey. My drugstore pick is this one and if my skin barrier is damaged/red/irritated, I lather this on at night.
What brow gel do you use?
I have been using this one for over a year now and like the clear version and medium brown if I want them to look “done.”
What do you use to wash your makeup brushes? How often?
I just use this spray and this mat. Ideally I think they say once a week, but I’m not that good about it. I do every few weeks, and I ALWAYS wash after a facial or corrective treatment.
My skin is getting sensitive as I get older and I’m trying to update my products to mostly fragrance free. Are there any body wash, body lotions, etc. that you’ve found unscented but still effective?
I like this body lotion (I didn’t like their body wash) and I like the OSEA line a lo, esp. their body lotion. I LOVE this body wash (the best lather). Also if my skin is irritated I will sometimes just use my tried and true (and gentle) Cetaphil. I think they are definitely just as effective and less irritating on sensitive skin.
I’m seeing more women getting diagnosed with colon cancer and I’m concerned I’m not eating enough fiber. How much fiber do I really need to eat a day? Does fiber in drink like Poppi count?
Having a whole foods + plant based diet is key for proper gut health and digestion. I wrote this post about easy ways to sneak in extra fiber into your diet. Ideally women are getting in between 20-25 grams total fiber a day. Most of those grams should be coming from whole food sources vs. processed fiber products like gummies, sodas, etc. You can get all the fiber you need by meeting the goal of 3-5+ servings of whole fruits and vegetable servings a day as well as including nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, and whole grains in your diet. If you’re wanting a fiber supplement I would recommend adding 1-2 tablespoon ground flax, chia seeds or psyllium husk into diet. Drink plenty of water, esp. when increasing your fiber intake and the goal is a daily bowel movement. If you’re having any symptoms I recommend seeing your doctor or a gastroenterologist.

Oh yes! I discovered this watch band brand and love. I just got the black for now, but lots of different colors, patterns, and materials available. Good quality!
