I need gift ideas for my in-laws (and my kids grandparents) who seem to have everything! Any unique gifts you can think of?
I will be doing a full gift guide on December 2nd but in the meantime, here are some ideas for in-laws/grandparents. Grandparents want things from their grandkids that are personal and thoughtful. A birthstone necklace for grandma with the kid’s birthdates is always a hit. Here is the bracelet version. If they are into any board games, a personalized board would be awesome. This personalized ornament is so cute (same with this one!) or this blanket with all of the grandkid’s names on it.
While we’re on the topic of gifts, do you have any ideas for a first birthday gift idea?
I always love something personalized: this personalized wooden puzzle, the anywhere chair from PB Kids, and this personalized book.
Can you link the name bracelets you got off Etsy? I love them!
Yes, the shop stopped selling them for awhile but they’re back online now.. you can find them here! Get them while you can.. such a great stocking stuffer too!
I need a pair of heels to wear with all of my holiday dresses this season. Can you link a couple black and nude pairs under $100?
Heather- who made Parker’s Seahawks Birthday cake?! It was amazing!
Thank you! It was SOOOO cute! Jenny’s Cookies Bake Shop in Lake Stevens, WA did it!
What vitamins/supplements do you take?
I (Alix) take probiotics, Omega’s, Multi-Vitamin, (want to try this brand next) and a B Complex daily. I take 5,000 IU Vitamin D three times a week (just got my labs checked and my D was perfect!). Ideally I’m taking my Vitamin D with food (fat soluble vitamin) and I take the B complex during the day for energy. I either drink CALM tea or take these Chill Pills every night for magnesium supplement. I also drink 2 tablespoons ACV every morning. I will also take dandelion bitters with water in the morning if I’ve had too many beverages the night before 😉
I have some persistent black heads on my chin. Any good products that could help with that?
I think starting with an exfoliating skincare regime at least 2x a week could help tremendously to get that extra dirt and grime off of your face, especially around your chin region. Dermalogica has this version that gets amazing reviews and I just love all of their products. My other favorite is this Arcona Cranberry Gommage that literally buffs your skin. Next, you’re going to want to treat your skin with a product with salicylic acid in it like this Acne Treatment by Kate Somerville. The Ordinary has a mask for $12 and this company is getting a TON of attention right now for their inexpensive but highly effective products. Worth a shot! Anything with salicylic acid in it (a mask, a serum) is going to help fight stubborn blackheads and breakouts.
What are your favorite fall/winter nail color?
We love OPI You Don’t Know Jaques, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, OPI Malaga Wine, and OPI Big Apple Red. Basically anything nude, bright red or DARK! Dark purple, dark green, dark navy blue and dark red.
What is your favorite nude lip combo?
My absolute favorite combo is my NYX lip pencil + Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk + any pink/nude NYX lip gloss over it!
Thank you for your questions via DM and email this week! Keep them coming. We know you have all of the holiday parties and festivities coming up.. so what do you need to know?! Ask us!
