My question is for my husband so I understand this may not be in your wheel house. My husband has been using the same apricot face scrub (you know the one) since he was a blemish-ridden teenager. But I’ve read that these types of aggressive scrubs can do more harm than good since there are actual chunks of walnut shells in them! Is there a men’s facial scrub or cleanser that your husbands swear by?
Toss that apricot scrub ASAP.. there are a number of reputable sources that say that shit is NO BUENO. My husband (Heather) is genetically blessed and doesn’t have a blemish on his entire body (literally the most annoying thing ever) but I wanted to get him on a skincare regimen nonetheless. I think Kiehl’s a great brand for all skin types and at the price point, you can’t go wrong. This is what my husband uses and has no complaints! If you want to take it a step further, get him a lotion/moisturizer with SPF to protect from the elements!

What are your favorite Nespresso pods? I want to try some new flavors.
Alix: I like the vanilla, caramel, half caffeinated, this espresso pod is my fave, and liking the caramel cookie pods lately.
Heather: We have a different machine so I always buy this variety pack and love all the flavors.. pretty generic nothing fancy but all tasty!
How have your routines changed since quarantine? What have been the biggest changes and what’s been the hardest adjustment to this new normal?
It has taken a minute to find our groove and adjust to the new normal but overall, we’re both doing pretty well! Obviously, we aren’t dropping kids at school and getting 4 hours of free time for a workout or grocery run anymore but with our husbands also at home, we find time to sneak away for solo walks or essential grocery runs when we need to! Isn’t it amazing what quarantine will make you appreciate?! A solo run or walk to listen to a book on tape is LIFE!
The biggest adjustment/challenge is keeping the kids entertained and also living, breathing, teaching, cooking, working with your significant other.. SOS!!! This is NOT a normal way to live but we have found that sending our spouse to the basement or just finding separate areas to work and play is the key to success right now lol. Both of us have had some “come to Jesus” moments with our family (ahem, our husbands) and asking for help or support (communication in general) is CRITICAL. We understand they have to work but also, taking on the blog, teaching, childcare and maintaining the household is a HUGE responsibility and while we BOW DOWN to single parents everywhere, our husbands have really stepped it up during this time to help out. It took a minute.. but they’re on board now 😉
As for the blog, it feels strange writing about fashion or skincare but trying to adjust to the need of our audience and what you want to see from us.. hopefully we’re not letting you down!
The weather is so nice right now can you link your favorite kids outdoor entertainment? I’m looking to buy a few things to keep the kiddos entertained.
