Favorite Beauty Product: Hands down Charlotte Tilbury Flawless filter (shade 4). Can be worn alone as a light layer or underneath your full coverage foundation. It adds a glow unlike any other.
Favorite Shoe: yes, I have one. And of course it’s Nike. Anything will do but if you can rock Air Jordan’s do it. If you’re weary, start with Air Force 1’s and work your way up 😉 I got these for Christmas.
Favorite Scent: Honestly, I had to add this in because the scent reminds me of my girls trip with my high/school best friends to Park City. It’s an annual trip I look forward to every year and the home we stay in smells like this. And it’s pure perfection, much like the trip.
Favorite Podcast: The Blonde Files with Arielle Lorre, The Skinny Confidential, and Call Her Daddy. I also love Max Lugavere, Andrew Huberman, and Mind Pump but find myself listening more religiously to the women who talk beauty, nutrition, and gossip more often.
Favorite Workout: I’ve recently started in a women’s tennis league and it’s definitely my favorite workout outside of the gym. It is fun and addicting and I love meeting new people who live nearby. And I think it’s obvious we both love pickleball but it’s more social for me. When at home, my favorite workout is probably Thunder 45 on Wednesday mornings with Alix because it’s motivating, hard work, and so satisfying afterwards. Plus Adrian Williams is a smoke show to look at. Second favorite is hot yoga of any kind. We both have workout ADD and change it up often.
Favorite Blogger: I have three: Somewhere Lately, Cella Jane Blog, and Andeelayne The Honeybee. I copy their style and home decor constantly.
Favorite Memory: How do I pick one?! One of my favorites was our summer pickleball tournament that I hope becomes an annual thing. Another is always visiting our family in Wisconsin over the summer and the boys live their very best #lakelife. But also celebrating my husband’s 40th with our closest family & friends and our 10 year wedding anniversary. We didn’t do anything over the top but I did get a new piece of jewelry out of the deal that I’ll always remember was for our 10 year and of course lots of champagne 😉
Most Proud Of: Myself lol. This year I prioritized myself and my health and the fact that my husband has noticed a difference (in my mood) means it worked. During COVID, I drank every day, ate like shit, felt sluggish, tired and was moody AF. Probably sounds familiar to most. But this year, I decided to knock it off and get back to feeling my best. It all started with a visit to my Naturopath to figure out what was happening internally and I wrote a whole post about my experience here. I no longer have my insane mood swings and I feel way more balanced. I have lost weight, am sleeping better than ever, and most importantly I am a more patient mom and wife.
Favorite Trip: Our yearly trip to Hawaii over Thanksgiving. My parents, brothers, and aunt come too so it’s an extended family trip that we have made a tradition. We love Kauai the most.. it’s quiet and still the best kept secret (so don’t go there ;)). We stay at Koloa Landing and my kids are in heaven the whole time. They’re finally at the ages where it feels like a vacation for me and my husband but we went through many, many years of pain and suffering on airplane flights and naps in the room before it felt that way.
Looking Forward To: Two things: Disney in a week with the kids and Italy without the kids lol! The kids get out of school in June, we are flying them to the lake in Wisconsin with my in-laws and Britt and I are jetting off on an Italian adventure for 2 weeks. Eek! I am excited for the trip but nervous to be away from the kids that long but I know their grandparents are going to keep them plenty busy at the lake house that they’ll barely miss us. We are going to Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Venice, Lake Como and Milan. I’ve been to a number of these places before but never with Britt and I can’t wait to eat and drink my way through these beautiful cities.
Cheers to a healthy and happy New Year!
