Do I sound like Andy Cohen from Watch What Happens Live? Good, cuz that’s what I was going for. And literally when my husband came up behind me and read the title of this post, he goes what are you Andy Cohen? LOL poor guy has to watch so much Bravo TV with me 😉 But seriously, here are 5 things I’m obsessed with this week:
Pressed Juice Freeze: Ok, being a California girl I’ve always loved frozen yogurt (Golden Spoon FTW!) but when I moved to Seattle, nothing really seemed to stack up to my SoCal spots. Everyone here is all about Molly Moon’s ice cream and to be honest, I’m not this like crazy super fan. Sue me. Also, after baby I’m TRYING to make wiser, healthier decisions to keep it right and tight. Enter Pressed Freeze, a healthy alternative to ice cream. It’s dairy free, soft-served made from real fruits, veggies and nuts. Woof, that sounds gross. But trust me, it’s not! It took me a minute to get on board but now that I have, I’m a little hooked. I get a mix of chocolate and vanilla and put my own toppings on at home.. fruit, granola, chocolate chips, whatever you want really. Or have them put toppings on for you.. it just costs a little more. I had them put chocolate sauce and strawberries on top of the chocolate freeze and it basically tasted like I was eating a chocolate covered strawberry. YOLO.
Living in Joggers & Sweatshirts on the daily: This isn’t new.. I enjoy this every day, week, month of the year but I’ve found some new joggers and hoodies that I’m LIVING in.. and should probably wash sometime soon..ish. Just purchased this Free People Hoodie, this one is also in my closet, this Topshop pullover and these joggers. Also, these Free People joggers are in my cart (except that I saw them in a light pink color in store and now I can’t find them online.. should have bought them when I had the chance!).. There’s really no point in buying proper clothing anymore when I’m home all day with the kids. Cute athleisure that doesn’t look like I’m shlepping around in pajamas all day is my jam. I just wish it was appropriate to wear out for date night. A girl can dream.
Corepower Sculpt Classes: If you know me, this is a weird one. I took my first ever Sculpt class maybe 3-4 years ago with my girlfriend down in California and I vowed to never take it again.. it’s. SO. HARD. Nope, I’m good with savasana and an easy flow.. couple down dogs here and there. That’s my pace. And maybe why I don’t have a rock hard yogi body lol. Fast forward to last week when Alix dragged me to a Monday evening class that turned out to be Sculpt. SOS! Except that it was amazing and I felt like a freakin champ afterwards.. we’re talking Rocky Balboa. I seriously could have kicked anyone’s a** afterwards haha. Oh, and I slept like a DREAM because my body was downright exhausted. I’ve now taken it three times in the past 7 days and surprisingly, I’m not ready to quit. I doubt I’ll keep up with it 3x a week but I’ll throw a class in here and there to change up the routine. I guess the moral of this one is don’t be afraid to try something new or something you think you just can’t do. I didn’t think I was strong enough for this class and I surprised myself. Look at me, turning over a new leaf. I’ll take a pat on the back next time you see me.
Summer Slides: Love em, can’t leave em, want em all. The department stores are full of summer sandals and slides are having a moment.. one I’m very happy about. I’ve had these slides for a couple years and they’re my go to in summer. These Treasure and Bond (in black or tan) are so popular and similar to mine. As are these. These Steve Maddens are the most fab and these are just FUN and I WANT. Did I mention that I want them all? God, get a grip Heather. Summer lasts for like a day in Seattle.. you don’t need them. K, good pep talk.
Hats: This kind of goes along with my athleisure wear obsession.. but hats.. cuz who has time to do their hair? Not me. Baseball hats, straw hats, wide brim, you name it, I like it. I wear this hat about 5x a week during school drop off (my dad is a die hard Yankees fan so I’ve always loved a good NY hat), but recently purchased this one to give myself some variety and avoid dirty looks from men who hate the Yankees. My pool/beach/vacation hat is by Brixton here and while it’s super wide brim, I think anyone can pull it off. But if you’re not feeling it, I also have the fedora version. My investment hats have always been by Janessa Leone… she just knows how to make a HAT, girls. I have three of hers similar to this, this and this. I invested in these pieces over the past 5 years and they last.. I plan to own them forever. Rag and Bone has a gorgeous felt hat here that I’ve had my eye on but considering my collection, I better cool it. And if you’re not ready to dive right in to an investment piece, I have this Free People hat in black and it’s not only budget friendly it’s just downright GOOD. You really don’t have to spend a fortune to look cute.. that’s what I keep telling myself every time a new Janessa Leone pops up on my feed. Look AWAY!
I have some exciting content coming to the blog later this week so keep up with our Insta for updates! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by and showing us some love. xx
