Some of you may know that we’ve been going through a minor home reno the past couple of months. We are updating the primary bathroom, Jackson’s bathroom, the guest room bathroom, redoing some wood floors, and adding marble to the formal fireplace. I am working with Jessica Nelson Design and she and her team are absolutely wonderful. Kind, extremely talented, communicative, and just SO on top of it.. she doesn’t miss a thing. Can’t recommend her enough! Stalk her insta for all the drool worthy designs.
Everyone made me think that living through a reno would be hell and while I would tend to agree, ours has been fairly easy and painless. We currently have to share a bathroom but it’s not like I have three daughters I have to fight over a bathroom. Although three boys + their father is probably punishment enough. Just kidding.. it’s been fine and I am so happy with the progress being made. It should be done a little after the New Year but honestly, I am not pushing for an end date. I want it done right.
I’ve been asked some questions about what materials and fixtures we picked so I thought I’d break it down in a post. I’ll share more before and after pictures when it’s all done in a final home reno post 🙂
Primary Bath
Vanity Sconces in polished nickel
Carrara Marble Herringbone for shower
Vanities are a light greige color
Jackson’s Bath
Vanity Sconces in light bronze
Vanity will be painted black
Guest Bath
Vanity will be a light grey with black fixtures
Entryway Chandelier
We swapped out the monstrosity in the entryway with this simple yet beautiful lantern.
Kitchen Chandelier
When we moved in, I knew one of the first things I needed to swap was the kitchen pendant. There’s only one fixture over our huge island so I wanted something that made a statement so I picked this oversized shade.
Once we have everything in and complete, I’ll be sure to share additional details about these spaces but in the meantime if you have questions leave them here or send us a DM on Insta! I could chat house design ALL DAY as I am constantly decorating and rearranging spaces in our home.
xx, Heather
