H E A T H E R
I was introduced to this cookbook by a friend of mine who is an excellent cook so I trusted her advice when she said I needed the Half Baked Harvest cookbook. While the recipes aren’t the healthiest I’ve ever seen, it’s really easy to swap out ingredients to make it healthier. Every recipe is SO flavorful and nothing is too over the top complicated or difficult. Everything I’ve tried has turned about beautifully and it is 100% husband approved. her jerk chicken Caribbean bowls and miso beef ramen are two favorites so far!
I never knew how much I was missing in my life until these showed up at my door. Like walking on a cloud. I know I talked about them in Monday’s post but they really are a standout this past month. I reach for them daily when we leave the house for errands or a walk. Chic, sleek, neutral, and comfortable.
Dainty Gold Bracelets for Layering
I am all about a gold thin bracelet to stack up my arm. I wear them to bed, shower in them, workout in them and they keep their gold color without any issue. This brand is one of my favorites right now and you can shop her site directly or find some of her pieces here. The Fashion Jackson piece is one of my favorites.
Did you know H&M had home pieces? I didn’t until recently and find myself perusing their site for statement pieces and decor for my shelves. A lot of their stuff looks like art or very high end pieces that you’d find in a place like Restoration Hardware without the price tag. H&M is the perfect place to shop if you need to dress up your book shelves or side tables.
A L I X
I wrote a post here on the benefits of magnesium, which I need now more than ever since being pregnant. I used to also take CBD to help ease anxiety in the evening, but now that I can’t I’m more consistent with my magnesium intake and really feel the benefits! I like this product better than the CALM magnesium I used to take because it is a magnesium blend. This one contains magnesium gluconate, magnesium acetyl taruinate, magnesium citrate and for added calming bonus…L-theanine.
I know I know…these were cool like years ago, but I just got one for Christmas and love it! Last week’s happy hour (Q#1) I answered a question about pfas in sparkling water and the Sodastream is a safer alternative if this is something you’re concerned about. It’s so easy to make fresh plain sparkling water then I add fresh lemon or lime juice into it to make my own flavoring. I’ll be using it a lot this summer to make cocktails too 😉
Beauty Counter Deodorant “the clean deo”
I’ve tried so many natural deodorants and have found few that actually work and/or don’t irritate my skin. I love all of my BC products, so was excited to try their new deodorant. I’ve been wearing it non stop for a few weeks now and have had no issues with irritation and no stink after a workout or long day. I’m using the fresh coconut scent right now and love the smell. Yes, initially the deo is $$, but then you only have to pay for refills after which are cheaper and less wasteful.
I’ve always been interested in gua sha and wanting to get more into it, but since being pregnant and not being able to get botox I’ve really committed to doing it 1-3 x week. I treated myself to the this kit and have been really impressed by it. I keep my stone in my skin fridge, so it feels nice and cool on my skin. You can follow this company on Instagram and they provide a lot of great tutorials on how to use the stone and products. This is also a nice option for a similar stone if you don’t want to spend as much.
