Happy August friends! July was a busy month that flew by and I feel like Fall will be here before we know it! Grocery store finds might will be pumpkin everything in a few months 😉 Anyways, I came across a few good grocery store finds in July (warning: it’s a little bar heavy because a lot of new flavors hit the shelves that I wanted to try and share with you guys) so let’s get to it!
Organic Pitted Dates I use dates a lot when I make my almond milk, energy bites, and sometimes just a sweet snack. I usually buy them in the bulk section at Whole Foods and they are kinda pricey-ugh! I stumbled upon these at Trader Joe’s and they were like $6.99 score!
Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pieces I’ve tried the dark chocolate covered banana slices from Trader Joe’s several times and they are just average IMO and Quinn spits them out ha! So I didn’t have high hopes for these, but I was pleasantly surprised how good they are. The whole fam likes them and it makes the perfect little “something something” after lunch or dinner.
Cold Brew Coffee Bags I LOVE cold brew so obviously had to pick this up at Trader Joe’s. To be honest I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I think it would be perfect if you were having people over for brunch or had guest in town and wanted to make a big batch of cold brew. Have you guys tried this yet? Let me know how it is!
Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bar I needed a post barre snack and ran into Whole Foods for something to hold me over until lunch. These bars are a little $$ but they were on sale and I needed a good dose of protein and fat, so this fit the bill. It was kind of crumbly, but SO good! I think they would be great kept in the fridge or freezer…and of course ingredients on point!
RX Bars are one of my fav “go to” bars and I was excited to see that they came out with three new flavors…so I bought all 3 obvi! The peanut butter & berries one is really good tastes like a PB&J… which I think is what they were going for and nailed it. The chocolate hazelnut was not my favorite probably because I’m not a huge hazelnut, but I took one for the team and tried it anyways. The mango pineapple is yummy…it’s super tropical tasting and now I want to go on vacation. Thanks Rx Bars…
Perfect Bar mocha chip- yes please! Tasted just as described- super good, but really rich! I prefer the OG peanut butter and almond butter flavors best, but this would be good chopped up on a Pressed Freeze for dessert…yummmm. I found this one when I was in Orange County at Gelson’s grocery store, but I’ve also seen this flavor at Whole Foods.
Purely Elizabeth Granola Bars I told you this post was a little “bar heavy” but I love Purely Elizabeth granola and also saw these at Gelson’s when in the OC and wanted to try them. These aren’t necessarily that new… I think they’ve been on the market for about a year now. The ingredients are legit and they taste good too (I liked the chocolate sea salt one better) but a little on the dry side. I lathered some peanut butter on them for a quick post gym breakfast.
Waterloo Sparkling Water move over La Croix this Waterloo sparkling water is taking over my fridge! To be honest, I still like Spindrift best (and you can find it at Costco now!) because I think it has the most flavor, but Waterloo is a close second. I picked up a case while at Whole Foods last week and there are a bunch of other flavors too, but anything watermelon and I’m sold!
Thanks for following along every month with my grocery store finds and as always please share you finds with me because you know I have major FOMO 😉
