June Beauty Finds

Happy Monday! Time for another round of beauty finds and this time I have a couple of special products that I hadn’t heard about before a few months ago.. so of course I’m sharing with you! Enjoy and have a great week.

Impress Skincare: (SPONSOR ID: 2842) Alix and I were recently introduced to this skincare line by the sweetest woman named Linda (you can find her Instagram here), a fellow Seattle boy mom and skincare guru. We met with her a couple of times before trying this line to learn about the products, ask questions, gain insight into the company and understand the formulas before trying on our own skin. You can read the About Us page on the company’s website if you’re curious about how it started but the How It Works link is what caught my attention most. And then I used the cleanser, the pads, the moisturizer and the tinted sunscreen for a week and I was impressed… hence the name I guess 😉

So I first started with the cleanser. I wet my hands only a little and apply to a dry face for the best results. It is a 100% soap-free cleanser that removes surface dirt and oil without stripping or drying the skin. Also, the botanicals used are from the dessert in AZ where this company started. The soothing orange peel essential oil combines with green tea leaf extract to revitalize and prepare skin for that day’s facial pad application, which I will talk about below.

Now, not all facial cleansers are created equal. I’ve had experience with some where I don’t feel like my face is actually clean after cleansing. I have to wash my face a couple of times to really get the grime off. I don’t feel that way with the Impress cleanser. It foams up nicely, gets a good lather and does its job without leaving my face dry.

Side note: I incorporate all of my Drunk Elephant products into my skincare routine no matter what cleanser or skincare regime I’m following. DE is my ride or die.. so even when I find new skincare products, DE is along for the ride so don’t think I’ve abandoned something I’ve been promoting for the past few months. DE is always there for me. I cleanse, use the pads (below) and then incorporate my DE serums, oils and lotions.

But now let’s get to the fun part of this routine.. the pads. (second side note: these CANNOT be used during pregnancy due to the salicylic acid in the Peel & Brighten pads and retinoids in the Uplifting & Firming pads).

Impress Anti-Aging Facial Pad Program: No other product on the market provides all of the necessary anti-aging formulas in one convenient package. Impress provides the three necessary formulas in one box, each on separately sealed disposable pads that fit easily over your fingertips for effortless application. Three unique formulas, one pad per day, it’s really quite genius. Each of the 3 pads contains a different and unique formulation critical to the anti-aging process to firm, lift, even coloration, brighten, exfoliate, rejuvenate and protect.

There are 28 pads in one container and you use 7 a week (1 per day). They come in order and you always start your week with the orange Peel & Brighten pad. Results are similar to an expensive microdermabrasion treatment or professional salon peel in one remarkable facial pad. And it’s healthier for the skin than using the Clarasonic. Simply wipe the pad over your face, neck and décolletage ONE DAY EACH WEEK to gently exfoliate dead skin and allow the rehydrating power of Cactus Flower Extract to reveal the fresh new skin beneath. This one. It burns so good.

The next night you apply the Soothe & Shelter Pad. This pad encourages and maintains the natural glow and resilience of healthy, younger-looking skin. Basically, it decreases the aging process.. yes please! These deeply refreshing pads are infused with powerful green tea antioxidants (100 times the strength of vitamin C & 25 times the strength of vitamin E) to protect the many layers of your beautifully rejuvenated skin.

On the third night, you apply the green Uplifting & Firming pad. This one agitates the skin just enough to promote collagen growth. Powerful retinoids combine with the ancient healing properties of Prickly Pear extract completes your complexion’s transformation. Apply EVERY OTHER DAY, three times per week.

So basically, you start with one orange and alternate between green and blue until the week is over. By the end of the week, your skin should (and WILL) feel smoother, softer and brighter.

Alix and I are were hooked after the first week and I’m so sad I can’t continue with it right now due to pregnancy. But you better believe I’ll be ordering the pads as soon as this baby pops out. We’ve also got a bunch of our friends currently trying the regime and three of them have since come back and said how much they LOVE it.. the cleanser and the pads.

The moisturizer is buttery and delicious.. smells divine.. and we both love it. It contains lipids from age 22, when you’re most youthful (if you needed reminding how old we all are 😉 But we also love our Drunk Elephant and have to get through that before deciding which moisturizer we’d purchase again. But I want to look 22 again.. don’t you?!

If you’re intrigued by any of this, start with the cleanser and pads. I promise.. you’ll be impressed!

IMPORTANT: if you plan to buy any of these products, you have to enter a Sponsor ID upon checkout. The 4 digit number is: 2842.

Revlon Lip Gloss in Pink Pop: I’m a lip gloss girl. Always have been. Always will be. And because I buy so many, I can’t be splurging on the expensive stuff. Enter: the drug store. You can find some seriously good colors and formulas for under $10 and this one is no exception. In summer, I love a pink lip with a sun kissed tan. This one isn’t too pigmented that it leaves your entire lip hot pink; it’s glossy without being too much.. ya know what I mean? Swab it on your wrist next time you’re at Target or Rite-Aid. It’s my new fave.

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi: I know I’ve talked about this product before on Instastories and maybe even in a Happy Hour post and for good reason. But when it first arrived, I was skeptical. I wear tinted moisturizer. I wear tinted sunscreen. Why would I need another product with MORE tint? Then I tried it by adding a half pump in with my already tinted sunscreen and WHOA. Sun kissed glow x10 but in a good, rather GREAT way. D-Bronzi is made of vitamins, antioxidants, platinum peptides and barrier-supportive fatty acids that defend skin from environmental free radicals. It’s a gorgeous sheer bronzer formulated with skin health top-of-mind…like sunshine in a bottle without the damage. But don’t use it alone.. it’s WAY too concentrated to be used that way. Add a half pump to any serums, lotions, moisturizers, foundations or sunscreens and VOILA.. you glow girlfriend. OMG that was cheesy. Next product please…

Supergoop Forever Young Hand Cream: Both Alix and I have raved about this product recently and now, I don’t leave the house without applying a layer to my hands. As women, we’re so worried about our complexion and our skincare regime on our face, neck and chest. But another area of our body that gets A TON of sun.. our hands, duh. Why aren’t we protecting this exposed area of skin like we do our faces? This is an ultra-moisturizing hand cream awarded Allure Magazine’s Best of Beauty and nourishes your skin with powerful antioxidants and natural oils.

Kindred Goods Island Orchid and Coconut Glow and Go: Ok I can’t find the exact link for this online but it’s from Old Navy’s checkout section. It’s the smell of Hawaii in a bottle. And Hawaii is my favorite place on this planet. It’s a body mist/oil that I wear like perfume. I spray it in my hair and on my body and it teleports me to the island. It smells SO GOOD. It kind of reminds me of the body mists I wore back in the day by Victoria’s Secret.. but this one wins. It’s the perfect scent for summer.. you don’t even have to spray it on your body. Just spray it in your car.. or in your bathroom.. people will ask you about it. Trust.

That’s all I’ve got this for month’s round of beauty finds! Send me the products you’re loving. I’d love to hear. xx
