We celebrated Kinsley’s first birthday with a small party at our house over the weekend. We lucked out and got great weather (65 partly cloudy and dry…the bar is low in WA right now) so we were able to spend a lot of time outside which was nice and let the older kids run wild.
The theme of the party was ’First Trip Around the Sun” and it all turned out so cute, I figured I would share pictures and decor in case you need some inspo for your littles 1st birthday. I really loved the muted yellows, burnt orange, and neutral tones which is very unlike me. All of Quinn’s parties have big BRIGHT and colorful…think unicorns, mermaids, flamingos, rainbows and let’s not forget when she wanted a crab birthday party when she turned 3!
Anyways, we had the best day with close friends and family celebrating our sweet girl. While she had no clue what was going on she had fun playing with cousins and eating making a mess of a sunshine cupcake.
It was fun to go back and look at all the pictures I took of Kinsley over the past year and choose my favorite from each month. This banner is a cute and simple way to display the pictures.

The outfit didn’t last long as it was covered in cake, but she looked very cute while it lasted! Here is the outfit link. Very good quality! I didn’t buy the bow that comes with it because the headbands don’t really stay in her hair.
The cake turned out amazing! I got so lucky and have a friend’s SIL makes cakes as a side hobby made this cake and cupcakes for the party. It was exactly what I wanted. This is the cute cake topper.

Kins decided to take her first few steps the day after her party, so I’m sure she will be on the move soon! This first year flew by and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for us with this cutie. Hopefully it’s not filled with toddler tantrums 😉
