Well March flew by didn’t it?! If only the Seattle weather would catch up with the Spring season…OK I’ll stop complaining about Seattle weather because this post is about my latest grocery store finds. It was a bit of a slow month in the new product department but I did find a few new gems I’ll share with you.
CocoYo Coconut Yogurt
This is probably by far my favorite find this month! GT (yes the same GT that is one of my fav kombucha brands) came out with this probiotic dream boat of a yogurt. It’s very similar to The Coconut Cult yogurt but so much more affordable and accessible. I stumbled upon this at a local market in Seattle called PCC, but Whole Foods also carries it. It is low in protein, so I just add a few scoops on top of my normal yogurt for an extra probiotic kick to start my day! The “Pure” flavor is stevia free, but the other flavors do contain stevia.
Love Beets
Anyone else hate peeling and cooking beets? So messy and it looks like a crime scene in the kitchen afterwards. Once again I’m all about cutting corners in the kitchen and saving time where I can. I found these at Whole Foods…Trader Joe’s also carries their own version and have golden beets. These are going to be a summer staple for my beet, goat cheese, walnut and arugula salads!
Nature’s Path Sunrise Cereal
This isn’t really a new product, but first time I’ve purchased it. I originally bought it for Quinn thinking it would be a good crunchy snack while we are out and about. Unfortunately, she wasn’t too into it… but I sure am! Seriously so good…it is the perfect topper on my smoothie bowls or for a small bowl of cereal before bed.
Forager Cashew-gurt
I’m trying to cut back on dairy (for skin reasons) so trying all the dairy alternative products. This is basically like a dairy free kefir drink…a more liquid consistency, but this one does not have much flavor. I got the the unsweetened so it would be low in sugar and it is a great addition in my smoothies. I found this at Whole Foods.
Microgreens
Microgreens aren’t new to the market, but I’m loving this local brand for all you Seattle peeps out there. I got this at Metropolitan Market, but you can find microgreens at most grocery stores near the herbs and bagged salad. Microgreens are like a “younger” version of the usual greens you’re eating. BUT they contain even more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than their more mature counterparts. You can add to salads, top avocado toast, or add to your quinoa bowls.
Chosen Foods Coconut Oil Mayo
Keeping up with my coconut craze these days…I found coconut oil mayo! I love this brand and their avocado oil mayo, so I bet this is pretty tasty too! I haven’t tried it yet, but wanted to share! I found this at our local QFC and I have a feeling it will start popping up at most stores.
That’s all I’ve got for March, but please feel free to share any fun finds or new products you’re loving lately!
