We’re so happy June is here.. it means we are one day closer to SUMMER and warmer weather. We’ve been spoiled with a few warm weeks and we’re supposed to see 80 degrees next week.. but first we have to endure a few rainy days. LAME.
As always, the first Friday of the month is dedicated to the previous month’s “favorites.” Here’s what we loved in the month of May:
Heather
This has kind of a funny back story.. my girlfriend, Annie, and I have play dates with our sons on most Friday’s and a couple weeks ago her husband was dropping Jackson back off at home and when he got out of the car, he was wearing these sunglasses. I didn’t say anything at the time because he might have thought I was such a weirdo so I texted Annie and was like, “Ok totally random question but where did your husband get those sunnies?! I need them!” She responded that those were, in fact, HERS and that he made so much fun of her for getting them in the first place.. and now HE was wearing them. These sunglasses remind me of the Porsche sunglasses that Kris Jenner wears but for only $50. It’s no wonder that a Kardashian (or at least their team) was involved in the making of these glasses for Diff Eyewear. And they’re gender neutral! At least according to my good friends 😉
I have received so many compliments on this purse organizer and for good reason. First, it comes in 7 different colors so depending on the color of your handbag, you can customize it. I just got the sand color in size XL as this fits my Louis Vuitton Neverfull and Goyard GM best. I might end up getting a black version at some point but for now the neutral color goes with everything. Amazon does give a great description of the sizing and advises which size you should get based on your particular handbag and even gives examples like the Neverfull GM vs PM, etc. It has so many compartments that it allows me to keep Parker’s baby stuff like bottles, wipes and diapers separate from my items like lipglosses, wallet (def don’t want milk spilling on my leather) and sunglasses. Truly the best $30 I’ve spent in a long time and my life is no longer a chaotic mess (at least from my purse standpoint) ha!
While I was perusing the aisles of Target kid-free (my husband’s worst nightmare), I came across portable phone charges and decided to pick one up. My phone loses a charge rather quickly these days.. prob should cut down on screen time but that’s a conversation for another day.. so I needed a way to charge my phone while out and about. Sure, I could have gotten a car charger but I’m not always driving when I lose battery. This way, I can charge my phone while it’s in my purse running errands. Genius! Never knew how badly I needed one.. and now I can’t leave the house without it. Obviously got it in pink. Obsessed with the HOT pink version and black for #chicness.
If there’s a beauty product that promotes itself as DEWY and CLEAN, you can bet your bottom dollar I’m buying it (also, who uses that phrase anymore?! Came outta nowhere!). And my girls at Somewhere, Lately have it so they’re drop dead gorgeous so let’s just say I am INFLUENCED. Anyway, this moisturizer is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free and it comes in recyclable packaging. Look at me reducing my carbon footprint! Proud of me? Anyway, I use this day and night and while it’s a pretty thick consistency, it absorbs really quickly into my skin and gives it that dewiness we’re all on the hunt for, especially me. Give it a try if you’re running low on your current moisturizer, I know you won’t be disappointed.
If you’re on social media or Instagram a lot like me, you’ve come across so many bloggers rocking satin skirts, especially leopard, with sneakers and a band tee or a sleek heel and body suit. At first, I wasn’t so sure I could pull off the trend. But I tried it and voila, I think it’s pretty cute! Sure, I am not wearing outfits like this daily or often but with a few events/trips coming up, I can’t wait to wear it again! Other satin skirts I have in my cart: one | two | three

I initially saw these red running shorts at Target, but they didn’t have my size in store. I kept checking every time I went back to see if they got more sizes and was bummed every time they didn’t. I had my heart set on red running shorts, so when I ran into these at Lulu I didn’t think twice. I sized up because I wanted the waist band to sit on my hips and not be too tight (I hate running with a tight waistband). I’ve gone on a few long runs in them and LOVE. I also like that the zipper pocket is on the side (not on the back like most of their shorts) so if I put my key in there and lay down to do abs or stretch it’s not digging into my back.
I initially saw these on another blogger and thought they were super cute, but no way could they be as comfortable as she claimed. Then my girlfriend was wearing them and told me she basically lives in them because they are THAT comfortable and they 100% are! I’m 5’4″ so loving the extra height without a having to wear a heel or wedge. I plan to wear them all summer with jean shorts. They also come in black!
These are by far my favorite find of May and maybe EVER! I have 4 pairs of the align crops and live in them. The joggers are SO comfortable (I sized up for a little looser fit) and I’ve been wearing them around the house and for running errands. I wouldn’t necessarily wear them for a workout other than walking, but are perfect for just about anything else 😉
Victoria Emerson Wrap Bracelet
I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I used to have a Stella & Dot wrap bracelet and wore it to death. I figured it was time for a new one. I previously bought this zodiac necklace from Victoria Emerson and think it’s really cute and a good price point. My wrap bracelet is unfortunately sold out, but I love this, this, and almost bought this one!
*HOT TIP* Victoria Emerson is having a BOGO sale with code: SECRETBOGO you’re welcome 😉
