No surprise here.. August came and went in the blink of an eye and Summer really feels over even though fall doesn’t start for a couple weeks. Both of my boys will be in a school type setting a few hours a day, 3x a week, starting Monday and I’m looking forward to having some time preparing for Parker cuz #notready. Poor kid doesn’t even have a room.. better get on that.
Anyways, not sure what any of that has to do with this post so let’s get to it. This month, I’m sharing my August favorite finds.. not just beauty but everything I purchased and loved over the past 31 days! Enjoy 🙂
Adidas Swift Run Sneak: I have these in two different colors (the black ones pictured above and then I have all white with black accents) because they’re the most comfortable athleisure sneaker I own. I don’t know many pairs of shoes that you can throw on the first time you wear them and not have to worry about them rubbing or “breaking them in.” These are comfy from day 1. They’re labeled as a running shoe but I don’t actually run in them (not that I’m running marathons these days or anything lol).. but I wear them for HIIT, long distance walking or just tooling around town. Highly recommend!
Joolz by Martha Double Coin Necklace: Over the past few months, I’ve seen vintage coin or religious necklaces hanging on the necks of some of my favorite bloggers and Revolve/Nordstrom has a bunch of really cool pieces right now at a decent price point. You can wear them as one or as a set and I just think they look like a statement/conversation piece. I also like these versions: here | here | here | here
Too Faced Mascara: I was on the hunt for a new mascara and after reading reviews on this one, I decided to go for it and haven’t looked back.
Aerie Oversized Lace Up Sweater: I’ve always loved a good lace-up cozy sweater that can transition from jeans to loungewear and American Eagle delivers with their Aerie line. So comfortable, cozy.. can look tailored with jeans if needed but then you can also throw it on after a workout class and run errands. I’ve also been known to wear it to bed (as seen pictured above). So.. multi-purpose! Also have and love this | this | this
Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Pads: If you buy ONE thing, this is it. These exfoliant pads give you that fresh from a facial look without the price tag. They also get all the grime off to allow your products to fully absorb into your skin.. from your serums to your foundation. They’re dreamy. Trust.
Urban Originals Backpack: You’ve seen this over and over so no surprise here that I love my new backpack because it holds all + the + things! I plan to use it as my diaper “bag” when Parker comes because it’s just so easy. Love these versions: here | here | here
Adidas Slides: I’ve been wearing my other Adidas slides to death and they actually got slightly ruined when I was in Wisconsin because I left them out in the rain.. oops.. so I decided to invest in another pair and these were the winner. They’re the perfect slide to throw on with shorts or leggings for a yoga workout and running around town. And the straw braid detail gives them a little more style than your average Adidas or Van’s slide.
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Eye Patches: For my girls who just need a little extra help in the am with dark circles.. these having a cooling effect that wake up the eyes. Which mama doesn’t need that?! I plan to wear these every day for the next 18 years. Maybe it’ll help.
Jade Roller: If you haven’t seen these all over Instagram, then you’ve been living under a rock 😉 I love my ice roller and with repetitive use, yes you can see a difference in your skin. So when I saw these jade rollers popping up, I thought why not give it a try? It helps contour the facial muscles while reducing fine lines and wrinkles, toning and improving elasticity, too. It works to reduce puffiness around the eyes (PRAISE), soothe the nervous system (ok?!), absorb negative energy (mmmk haha), even skin tone and tighten pores. Jade is a healing stone and a symbol of purify and tranquility. I mean some of these are a bit out there for me but I’m into it. You can find some inexpensive ones on Amazon too!
