Kinsley is one month old today! Crazy how fast this month has flown by, but there have also been some long and hard days in the mix. I feel like we are starting to get into a little groove and I’m getting to know her cues and what she likes/doesn’t like. Today I’m sharing our most used (and loved) baby products from our first month!
Sound Machine This portable sound machine is a game changer! I place it by her in the bassinet at night and during naps and attach it to the car seat when we are out and about. I use it so much that I bought a second one!
Breast Pump I just started pumping last week and really like this pump. Breast pumps have come a long way since I last used one 5 years ago. This pump gets the job done, is relatively quiet, and easy to use. I was able to get this one through insurance which is great so I can spend that $$ on a hands free option.
DockATot She sleeps in this every night.. I place is in the Halo bassinet so she is a little more snug and cozy. She also naps sometimes in the DocATot and I love that I can travel with it and move it around the house and a safe option to place her for a nap or just to chill. Worth the $$$ IMO.
Baby Carrier This carrier is like a mix between the Solly wrap and a Baby Bjorn carrier (which I also love). No infant insert required and it’s super comfortable to wear and simple to put on! Kinsley loves to be held and this helps me be hands free around the house or while taking the dog for a walk.
Bottles These are my ride or die bottles and I just ordered more since she likes them! Quinn loved these bottles and we used them exclusively and thankfully Kinsley likes them too.
Bassinet I’ve been loving the Halo for her to sleep in next to my bed. Right now I’m placing the DocATot inside the Halo (fits perfectly) and that is where she sleeps and sometimes naps. I like being able to pull her closer to me when she’s fussy at night to calm her then swivel her back.
Boppy Lounger This is a great option to place her to just chill on the couch or even on the table while we are eating dinner. I can easily move the lounger all around the house for an option to set her down when I need to be hands free.
Mini Fan I’m obsessed with these fans and now have 2 and might need one more! I keep one attached to her car seat and have also been putting one in Quinn’s room on her bed since it’s been so dang hot in Seattle recently!! I also use this fan for my Peloton bike rides (which I can’t wait to start again in 2 weeks!!)
Changing Pad With Quinn I had an old school changing pad that had a cover on it and every time it got wet (because babies love to pee during a diaper change!) I would have to wash the cover or liner if I was using one. Just more laundry! This changing pad is wipeable, so when she goes potty while I’m changing her I can easily wipe it down!
Haakaa I started using this before pumping and still use it while nursing to catch any milk being let down during a feed. I’ve gotten 1-2 ounces using this while feeding Kins on the other side!
Muslin Swaddle Blankets I have like 50 of these I swear…I love to have them all over the house to bundle her up, lay her on, or wipe up spit up. I don’t use a swaddle often on her during the day (only night) but will lightly wrap her in once of these blankets when she goes down for naps.
