As my pregnancy journey is winding down (hello 32 weeks!) I thought I would share some of my favorite products that I have been using non-stop throughout my pregnancy. I went pretty minimal with this pregnancy and did not want to buy much, but here are my must-have products I couldn’t have survived without (or just made the last 32 weeks much more tolerable!)
Pregnancy Pillow
I started to get pretty uncomfortable sleeping towards the end of my second trimester. At first I didn’t really like this pillow and threw it off the bed in the middle of the night for the first few nights. Once I got used to it and found comfortable positions, it’s helping me get into some deep sleep!
Ritual
I immediately signed up for a subscription for Ritual prenatal vitamins once I found out I was pregnant and have had no issues with the taste of digestion of them. I plan to switch to their postnatal vitamin after baby.
Magnesium
This has been helping with my anxiety a lot at night since I can’t use my usual CBD or glass of wine 😉 I take 1 tsp of this in water most nights to help with anxiety and relaxation. It also helps with muscle cramps which I’m starting to get in my hamstrings and calves at night lately…ugh! I also LOVE the taste.
Probiotics
I started this brand of probiotics pre-pregnancy, but it’s been so good during pregnancy. Constipation and GI symptoms can be an uncomfortable issue many of us deal with in pregnancy and this probiotic has been keeping me pretty regular 😉
Body Butter
I did not splurge on fancy pregnancy body cream/stretch mark cream because honestly I think it’s all marketing. Stretch marks are mostly genetic and the most important thing you can do is to just keep the belly and boobs moisturized. I love this body butter because it’s basically just coconut oil and I believe coconut oil cures all 😉 I also use coconut oil when nursing instead of nipple cream- hot tip!
Leggings
These are my favorite everyday leggings I wear at least 3-4 x week. I don’t workout in them (I’ve loved these leggings the best for workouts) I wash them on a gentle cycle and line dry so they’ve stayed in good shape considering how often I wear them.
Hydroflask
Hydration is so important in general and even more important in pregnancy with all the extra blood pumping through you! I tried to make the goal of finishing at least two 40oz Hydroflask bottles a day, but ideally 3. I like to pour one of the electrolyte packets into my first bottle of the morning with ice.
Barefoot Dreams Blanket
What would I do without my ride or die blankie?! It’s no secret you’re exhausted a lot during pregnancy and I would find myself (mostly in the first trimester) cuddled up in bed, in the middle of the day, needing a nap with my Barefoot Dreams blanket. I will also probably be taking this to the hospital me because it’s turned into my comfort blanket.
Bra + Sports Bra
These are the two bra I’ve worn the most throughout my pregnancy. I sized up in both bras and they are so comfortable and do not dig into your skin at all.
Yoga Ball
With all my low back pain I research ways to help alleviate some of the pain I was having. I’ve found using a yoga ball for exercises like this have really helped my back pain. I love to do pelvic tilts, forward rolls, hips circles, and bouncing up and down – look up these exercises they feel great! I try to do them at least once a day…usually at night before getting in bed.
