Modere + Vital Proteins I have been taking 1 tablespoon 2 times a day of the Modere Life for almost 5-6 months now. I’m trying to be proactive in postpartum hair loss (usually happens around 4 months postpartum) by taking this during pregnancy and continuing postpartum. I know my hair usually grows longer and thicker (less hair falling out in the shower!) during pregnancy and I’m hopeful this will help minimize the hair loss that inevitable during postpartum.
I also add 2 scoops of Vital Proteins to my coffee in the morning for the protein. It helps keep me fill me up a bit until I can get to making breakfast for myself in the morning. I will also continue this wellness practice postpartum.
While there isn’t clear science (yet!) to back up many collagen benefit claims it appears very safe. I wrote about collagen in this blog post.
Ritual Prenatal Vitamins I started taking Ritual prenatal vitamins when I found out I was pregnant because of their quality ingredients and I love that it gets delivered monthly. I’m all about subscriptions for products that I use daily because I don’t have to stress about missing a dose because I didn’t have time to get to the store to refill. I’m going to switch to the postnatal vitamins once baby girl comes and they also have greta options for kids and husbands 😉 They also taste great and don’t make you nauseous like some vitamins do.
Primal Kitchen Vanilla Protein Powder I have been loving this protein powder in my green smoothies lately. It adds a good dose of protein to keep me full and tastes great! I also want to try this brand of clean protein powder next. Ideally you want 20-30 grams protein per meal, so this helps me reach that goal in my smoothies.
LMNT Electrolyte Mix I have been loving this electrolyte mix since being pregnant because it gives me a great dose of electrolytes and helps me stay hydrated while my fluid needs are even higher. I will continue to use this product postpartum and also great for athletes of people who sweat a lot while exercising. It has no added sugar like many other products out there and tastes great mixed in ice water. The lime flavor is my favorite right now.
8 Greens I like to put one of these tablets in my water on days I’m just not getting in my greens + veggies. You know those days when you’re just not feeling the smoothie or salad…that’s when I will have one of these. It’s obviously not a replacement for veggies in your diet, but it’s a good dose of nutrients on those days you’re not feeling it!
Moonjuice Magnesium This supplement has been a life saver for me during pregnancy. I took this pre-pregnancy as well, but since I can’t take CBD oil or other products to help with anxiety, magnesium has been really helpful. I mix 1 tsp in water at night before bed to help me relax when I’m feeling anxious. I wrote a post here all about the benefits of magnesium.
