Thank you for all the love on the new house last week! I feel like we are finally unpacked and getting into a routine in the new house. Heather came over last week to get eyes on the house and give me lots of tips and ideas on how to decorate and organize. TBH it’s not something I really enjoy or have an eye for, so thank god she loves it and is helping me!
Moving is a huge pain in the butt, but one nice thing is getting to purge a lot of stuff you don’t need and re-organize everything in your new space. Heather is meticulous and her OCD is rubbing off on me. I ordered a handful of things to help me get as organized as possible and I figured I would share the items I have ordered so far!
My plan for these clear jars is to put one next to te bath tub with epsom salt and the others will find a spot in the laundry room or pantry.
These food storage bins are a must for pantry organizing.
This tissue box cover is so chic. I got a black one for the master bathroom and white for girls bathroom.
What was I ever doing wasting my time on plastic hangers?! I made the switch to velvet hangers and obsessed. Clothes don’t fall off the hangers, you can fit more clothes in your closet, and it just looks nicer. I ordered more to make the switch for my husband’s side of the closet now.
I got this bamboo drawer adjustable tray to organize my Nespresso pods, tea, matcha, etc.
Heather turned me onto these drawer organizers for my socks and undies and I also got some for Quinn’s little pants, shirts, undies, and socks. It makes it so much easier for her to see her clothes and pick an outfit without making such a mess.
My husband asked “what’s this clear container in the bathroom”…men lol. Another Heather influence and she says this is a must for the powder bath. To my husband’s defense these single use napkins I got to go with weren’t there yet, but when we have guests they can use these towels and not a hand towel everyone has touched. More sanitary and chic.
We have a lot of black hardware details throughout the house, so I got a new soap pump, cotton ball and Q tip container to go in the master bathroom.
I’ve bought so many baskets this past week! Target and Homegoods are my go-to for the best and most affordable baskets. I got like 10 of these baskets to go in the master closet and bathroom. It’s deep so I can store hats, purses, scarfs, etc. and they aren’t overflowing. I also got two large and one medium of this basket to go in the living room for blankets!
Please share you favorite organization tips and tricks with me…I can use all the help!
xx, A
