Nordstrom Picks Round 2: Beauty, Home, Men’s and Kids

First things first.. I have a public service announcement. Nordstrom touted that you could shop online and select in-store pickup without hassle + you’d get a $10 Nordstrom note but I think this plan backfired on them a bit. My girlfriend selected this option, went to the store because her app said her items were ready only to be told that they weren’t and that some of her order might not be available since the shopper hadn’t actually picked up her pieces yet. Aka they were sold out. MAJOR BUMMER. So… I don’t think you should select this option going forward. Hopefully Nordstrom gets their act together in future years.

Now that that’s out of the way…

It seems the dust has settled a bit on the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, so I decided it was time to highlight some other favorites in beauty, home, kids and mens since these items typically don’t sell out over the course of the sale. Beauty + Home really kicked it up a notch this year and I got in some major trouble. Below are the items I’ve got my eye on or have purchased in years past:

The Nordstrom Down Comforter is a splurge I make every few years because it’s the softest, most comfortable comforter I’ve ever owned. My goal is to have a Nordstrom comforter on all the beds in my house so every guest sleeps like a baby 😉

My Barefoot Dreams blanket comes in a number of colors and I’ve talked about it a lot on the blog. I sleep with it every night and carry it around with me around the house. It’s dreamy.

I’ve used the NeuLash serum on my eyelashes ever since I got my extensions taken off a couple years ago and it works wonders.. now is definitely the time to buy this set.

My husband uses the Tumi laptop backpack and it’s super durable but looks professional and sharp.

Britt’s favorite shoes are Santoni’s but I would never pay full price for them. The loafers are his most comfortable shoe he owns so now is the time to splurge!

Britt made fun of me when I bought Golden Goose sneakers but slowly but surely, he has continued to make comments about he wants a pair of sneakers and that “they make Golden Goose’s for guys too!” Yes, I know babe. But I don’t think he’s quite cool enough for a pair of Goose’s 😉 So I got him these white sneaks. His cool factor went up a couple points.

Sorry for the lack of girls items but it’s just not something I buy obviously 😉 But now is the time when I stock up on my kid’s jeans, reversible North Face jackets and kicks for the fall!

I use the Maxi Cosi for all of my kids once they graduate from carseat to convertible so I bought this one for Parker since he’ll be moving to a big boy seat in a few months.
