Kinsley will be ONE tomorrow! This year has been a whirlwind and truly flew by. We will be having a small party for her in a few weeks and the theme is “First Year Around the Sun”. So far, I got this adorable outfit for her, this banner for her high chair, and this cake topper.
Kinsley continues to be such a happy and good natured baby and it’s been so fun to see her personality develop this past year. She completes our family perfectly, as she is the ying to Quinn’s yang 😉
Here is a little Kinsley update + all our 12 month favorite products.
SCHEDULE:
Her schedule has not really changed since her 10 month update. I try to stay very consistent with her routine as I’m a believer that kids (and myself) thrive with a consistent routine.
6:30-7:00am: wake + 6-8 oz bottle (I usually don’t get her out of her crib till 7. She doesn’t typically cry when she wakes so I just let her play with I make coffee, get her bottle ready, etc.)
7:00-8:00am: play, make lunch, and get Quinn ready for school
8:00-9:30am: walk Quinn to the bus then Kinsley and I will eat breakfast and play until nap.
9:30-11:00am: nap #1
11:00am: play, walk, errands, etc. This is usually when I’ll try and get out of the house + 6 oz bottle
12:30pm: Lunch
2:00-3:30pm: 4 oz bottle + nap #2
3:30-5:00pm: pick Quinn up from bus and play at home or go to the park. Snack if needed.
5:30pm: dinner
6:00pm: bath, PJs, book
6:30-7pm: 8 oz bottle + bed
SLEEP:
I don’t take it for granted what a good little sleeper she is. She does take a little while to fall asleep for naps and bed time. She plays and chats for a while before passing out, but doesn’t cry. She is still taking 2 naps, but I can see her consolidating to one nap close to 15 months. I cap naps at 90 minutes so she doesn’t get too much day time sleep. She sleeps 12 hours most nights. We’ve had a handful of hard nights and a tooth usually pops up a day or two later. She still uses this sleep sack for naps and bedtime.
EATING:
Within the last week we have switched Kinsley to whole milk as we have run out of formula. I have this transition cup I plan to introduce and get her off the bottle. She gets about 3-4 bottles a day around 4-8oz each.
Kinsley eats 3 meals a day and sometimes 1-2 snacks. I’m loving this shirt bib to keep her clean during meals and she can’t pull it off like velcro bibs. For snacks, she likes these smoothie pouches and these puffs. We use this snack cup.
Thank you for following along on our journey this past year.
xx, A
