H E A T H E R Antibacterial facial spray I’ve been keeping this facial spray in my car over the past month and use it after a workout or when I’ve been out and about and feeling the need to sanitize my skin. I think of it like hand sanitizer except for my face. I often think how my dirty sunglasses are when they’ve been rolling around in my purse and then I put them on my face so I spray my … [Read more...]
My Travel Wellness Essentials
It felt like I was traveling a lot during the winter and spring this year. From girls trips and a birthday trip I was on the go a lot. For me, I stay put in the summer because we typically have unbelievable weather that we have earned all winter long and I don’t need to escape the rain for a few month. However, this is a busy travel time for many families on summer break. I’ve rounded up … [Read more...]
Skincare Treatments: Everything I’ve Done and What I Do To Maintain in Between
I saw my esthetician, Stephanie, at Sapin Skin last week and she told me I looked like a baby. I can think of no higher compliment, especially from a woman who stares at people’s skin all day long. And this is coming from someone who saw all the damage I did to my skin over the years in tanning beds and living in Southern California. I have spent years working with her to get my skin where it is … [Read more...]

I need something to wear that is “resort casual” for a bachelorette party. Can you give me some budget friendly suggestions please? What mouth tape do you use and does it work? I use this one (and recently got Alix on board with it in LA) and yes, I am a firm believer that it helps you sleep better. I haven’t skipped a night in about 2 weeks and have never slept better. Can you link … [Read more...]
Blood Sugar Regulation + My Experience Using a Continuous Glucose Monitor
Having elevated blood sugar is something I never thought I would have to worry about. In January I had my yearly labs drawn and was surprised to see my HbA1C was higher than it should be based on my health status and lifestyle. HbA1C is a 2-3 month average of your blood sugar and a test I had to ask for by my doctor when she was writing my lab order. While my numbers were not technically in the … [Read more...]
Heather’s Nighttime Routine: 7 Things I Do Before Bed Every Night
Prepare for the next day Our mornings are a little hectic getting everyone ready and out the door so anything I can do the night before to prepare, is CRITICAL. Currently, I only have to make a lunch for my youngest so I try and do that the night before to save some time in the morning. I also like to lay out outfits for myself and the boys so there’s no confusion when they get up. Lastly, I … [Read more...]

I tried taking creatine but it really upsets my stomach.. any tips to combat this side effect? You may have taken too big of a dose, for example, if you did a loading phase? I only take 5 grams at a time and have not experienced any stomach pain from that. Some people experience GI side effects with higher loads like 10+ grams at a time. You should also make sure you’re drinking plenty of … [Read more...]
Amazon Activewear Basics
I was in Lululemon last week and fell in love with these bike shorts in the kayak blue light color. SO pretty IRL, but I didn’t want to pay $64 for bike shorts. I tasked Heather, our dupe queen, to find me similar ones on Amazon. While the blue isn’t identical, they are still so pretty (linked below) and fit just like my other pair of align bike shorts. I still love all my higher end activewear … [Read more...]
Weekend Deals + Steals
Shop my latest budget friendly fashion finds: I love these $5 ribbed tanks to throw over a sports bra or bathing suit. I got it in three colors. Target has really stepped up their sandal game with these and these (that look like Lulu). This Amazon cover up is getting a lot of love.. tempted to get it in black (I have the cream). I’ve tried a LOT of sticky bras but nothing compares to … [Read more...]

Details on how you cooked the tofu in the air fryer please! I soaked the tofu in boiling salt water as this recipe explains. Then I lightly coated the cubes tofu in Primal Kitchen teriyaki sauce and place evenly on parchment paper lined air fryer. I’d maybe try adding a little sesame oil next time as well. Then I cooked at 400 for about 15 minutes and tossed the tofu a few times. It turned … [Read more...]
