Alix- have you tried Athletic Greens? I haven't tried that one specifically, but I've tried other similar green supplements. I think these are a great option to get in all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc. but they are missing the fiber you get from eating real vegetables. So I think taking these supplements are totally fine if you like them, but for me they don't replace real … [Read more...]
Steps I Take to Reduce Night Time Anxiety + Get Restful Sleep
I never really had any trouble falling asleep before having Quinn. Night time anxiety was REAL postpartum (I wrote about it here) and it's lingered making it really challenging to get restful sleep some nights. Over the past few years I've started to get really serious about my sleep hygiene routine. There are specific steps and products I use in the evening to help set me up for a successful … [Read more...]
Motherhood Update: 3 Under 5
I haven't don't a motherhood post in a while except to update you on the happenings of our sweet P and so I thought I'd give you a glimpse into our everyday life with three boys under the age of 5. Parker is 14 months, Cammy is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and Jackson will be 5 in the spring. Needless to say, at the end of each day I feel like I was run over by a Mack truck. What facial moisturizer should I use during the winter months with my dry, cracking skin!? Helpppppp! I think along with a moisturizer you should also introduce oil and mix it in to help with dry winter skin! Drunk Elephant Whipped + Marula oil is a dream combo! We've never tried The Ordinary line but I have a friend who uses it and absolutely LOVES it and it's really inexpensive so if you … [Read more...]
My Thoughts on The Game Changers Documentary + The Rise in Popularity of a Vegetarian Diet
It's no secret that eating more vegetables is good for your health. No one is disputing that fact. However, a big trend in 2019 (and will continue to be popular in 2020) was a shift to eating a more plant-based diet. People are making the switch to a vegan or vegetarian diet in the name of health. I'm a HUGE fan of eating more plants, but do we need to eliminate all animal products as well to … [Read more...]
My 5 Minute Makeup Routine
Unless you're going out for a date night or fancy dinner, I don't think many of us are putting a full face of makeup on everyday to drop the kids at school. Right?! Who has time for that? Certainly not me. Some days, I leave the house without any makeup at all because #noshame but about 3x a week, I feel the need to slap a little SOMETHING on so I don't scare small children (insert zombie emoji … [Read more...]

Wellness Resolutions That Have Nothing to Do With Dieting
Happy New Year! Hopefully you have the day off and are able to stay home, relax, and recharge for the new year ahead. If you're familiar with my nutrition philosophy then you were NOT expecting some "new year new you" diet style post today. However, I think it's totally normal to feel a little tired and sluggish this time of year. I can definitely admit I've been consuming more sugar and alcohol … [Read more...]

I hope you all had the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.. and if yours was anything like mine, it meant waking up at 5:46 am to, "MOM! Wake up! SANTA CAME!!!" Five more minutes, buddy.
