Hair
Our Charbaes in downtown Seattle are little magicians. You really can’t go wrong with any stylist here. Melissa and Rayna were trained at Gene Juarez and broke out on their own years ago. Their team of women is solid and we love to find an excuse to schedule appointments together so we can gossip and catch up. When COVID goes away, they serve champagne, tea, & coffee because THEY GET IT.

Facials
Monthly facials are a treat and no, we don’t always make it happen but when we do we see one of two ladies. Shelley at Skin Spirit is first of all, a DOLL. She’s not only beautiful inside and out but man, this chick knows her stuff. When she’s talking about skin, it’s CLINICAL. Scientific. I get lost but I’m like, “Tell me more.” She doesn’t have a “one size fits all” model. She tailors her treatments to each person and is just damn good at her job. Which is why it’s really hard to get in to see her. She’s BOOKED AND BUSY. Months in advance. So just get on her calendar when you can in 2022 😉 When we can’t see our girl, Shelley, or if we don’t want to spend as much on a facial, Elana at Tangerine is SO SO GOOD. Her studio is DARLING. It’s just the two of you in her space. Intimate & cozy with an add on menu for the skin obsessed. She also gives damn good massages while your mask sinks in.

Botox
Yes, we get botox and have been doing so for years. Prevention, ladies. It’s a thing. BUT you can’t just go to anyone. Go to someone educated in the field – someone who brushes up on their CE credits and travels to learn more. Someone who takes courses from experts. Someone who isn’t going to botch the job. We don’t want to see any of you on E! with Dr. Dubrow, mmmk? Hence why we recommend Pinky at Skin Spirit. Now, she isn’t taking new clients so we asked her who she recommends until you can get into her. Fun fact: one of our fave bloggers, Lucy Whims, who lives in OC, travels to Seattle quarterly to see Pinky and Pinky only. So you know SHE GOOD.

Massages
We have a love affair with our girl, Meghan. She’s in Ballard and worth the 40 minute drive from Redmond ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!! Alix found her and we’ve never looked back. My goodness, this woman should win some sort of prize or medal for the work she does. We hope she never stops doing what she’s doing because she’s the best at her craft.
Day Spa
If you’re looking for a day spa to get pampered, we love Yuan Spa. Their menu is outrageous. You can get lost navigating it. Every add on you can imagine! They are opening one in Totem Lake (Kirkland) in a few months and we can’t wait to get in there.
As for a spot to sweat in an infrared sauna, City Sweats is such a cool concept. They offer other amenities like lymphatic drainage, facials, dry brushing, etc. A little more “Seattle” than your typical day spa but every service offered has a long list of health benefits.

Lash Lift/Tint
I (Heather) haven’t had this service done in awhile but when I do, I love to see Stephanie at Sapien Skin. Other aestheticians at her salon offer the service as well and I would trust them if Stephanie wasn’t available but the one time I did it with Steph, my lashes looked BOMB. She basically perms/tints your eyelashes so you don’t have to put mascara on. YES.
Microblading Brows
I’ve had my brows microbladed two different times in the past 5 years and most recently saw Whitney at the recommendation of Shelley at Skin Spirit. Shelley is gorgeous and I was like YEP I’ll see anyone you see lol! Whitney is a STUNNER. She is so beautiful and I just love her energy, her vibe. She is down to earth and REAL. My sessions with her were a gossip sesh and even though we had just met, I felt like I had known her for years. What a gem. She has been doing brows for years and now trains other aestheticians in the field so I trust her expertise.

Waxing
I’ve been seeing Elana since she worked at The Wax Bar in Laurelhurst, which is also a good spot to get waxed, but I’m a loyal customer and followed Elana when she broke off on her own to The Tangerine Spa. She makes waxing as painless as possible because she is quick and makes you feel so comfortable!

Acupuncture
I started to see Kristi when I was trying all the things to get pregnant naturally. After my first session with Krisiti I felt so comfortable. She is compassionate and her energy is very calming. She always takes the time to chat with you before each treatment and it almost felt like a mini therapy session where I felt comfortable enough to cry and share my struggles and frustrations. She is also an herbalist and created specific herbs for me based on my cycle and symptoms. She was one of the first people I told I was pregnant because I felt like she was with me every step of the way during that time. While fertility treatment and women’s health (menstrual and menopausal issues) is her specialty, she also treats pain & injury, headaches, autoimmune conditions, allergy and sinus issues, digestion and immune strengthening, insomnia and anxiety.

Spray Tan
Who doesn’t love a good spray tan? Better yet, who loves a spray tan that gives you the glow?! We do. And whenever we’re about to take a girls trip or family photos, we get an airbrush spray tan at Rainglow because they do the BEST JOB EVER. No orange hands or feet. They are meticulous and make sure you get the desired level of color. Can’t recommend enough.. please don’t go to Desert Sun. You’re gonna be an oompa loompa and we can’t have that.
