We are in the full swing of Fall over here.. pumpkins cascading down our porches, the fireplace is on, and back to drinking warm cups of coffee instead of our usual iced cold brews. We’ve also busted out our down vests and fleeces because temps have officially dropped to the 40s in the morning.. unlike those of you in Southern CA in your beanies because it dropped to 71.. we’re officially not on speaking terms with you 😉
Let’s get to everything we were loving these last 31 days, shall we:
Alix:
Billie Razor: I know, I know.. these razors are being touted all over insta, but for good reason. This is not sponsored. I ordered them on my own and have been using this razor exclusively for the past 2 months. You get such a smooth shave and my favorite part is that the razor has charcoal soap on it. This means you don’t even really need shaving cream which I appreciate because I kind of hate having to do that step. The price point is the same as buying a razor in store (if not cheaper) and you get to pick out a cute color (I got dream pop obviously). You also get razors delivered for free. I’m into it and I know a lot of my friends are into it too!
Homemade Lattes: Every morning my husband makes me a pour over coffee when he makes his before leaving for work. I usually just add some Vital Proteins and creamer and call it good. Lately, I have been having more fun making cozy lattes that I look forward to it every morning! We have this Nespresso coffee maker and I’m loving these double espresso pods. We’ve had this frother for a while and absolutely love it. I’ve experimented with a lot of different creamers and milks and have found that Nutpod creamer makes the best froth! For the season I’m loving this nutpod pumpkin spice creamer and I might add a few drops of this sweetener and some pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top. Delish!
Flannel Sheets: Ahhh the weather is turning in Seattle (even though I wouldn’t call what we had a summer, but that’s beside the point). I switched our sheets and comforter out for “summer” to something lighter, but now we are back to our beloved cozy flannel sheets. I love these sheets from Target…perfect for cooler temps and great price point.
Grove Sink Caddy: So nerdy to get excited about a sink caddy, but here we are. I was on the hunt for a stoneware tray to organize my dish soap, sponge, etc. and couldn’t find anything at the usual spots (Target and Home Goods). I searched online and stumbled upon the Grove Collaborative and loved their products and service. It really keeps everything organized and looks cute next to my sink. I also stocked up on a lot of the Mrs. Meyer cleaning products which I love as well.
Heather:
Leather/SPANX Leggings: It’s time. Leather leggings can officially be worn again because the weather has called for it. These are both Alix and my favorite faux leather leggings because they suck it all in.. right and tight. I pair mine with a longer sweater or flannel that covers my bootie. Cute with slide on Van’s, loafers or booties to dress them up for date night.
Tan Booties: Speaking of booties above, these are my favorites this fall. They were on the Anniversary sale and sold out in a day and never restocked. Well they’re back and they are legit the perfect bootie. I like the tan colors best because they’re versatile. But if you live in Seattle, make sure you get some water resistant spray.
Summer Friday Jetlag Mask: Why did it take me so long to buy this for myself? I’ve given it as gifts to my friends but never pulled the trigger until this last month. As the drier months approach, my skin needs all the moisture it can get. I put this mask on at least three times a week at night and wake up to hydrated skin instead of flakey skin (I am dry in general).
Drunk Elephant Lala Whipped Moisturizer: This one isn’t new but it was out of the rotation during the summer months because my skin just didn’t need it as much because I was using Drunk Elephant Protini more. Well like I stated above, the cold weather is making my skin really dry and it’s craving a thicker moisturizer. The Whipped Moisturizer is just that.. a thicker moisturizer (but not heavy and gross like some) that gives me all the hydration it needs. I find myself reaching for it every night and lathering it on.
Lululemon Warm Down Joggers: Another staple piece that I don’t know HOW I didn’t own these until now! The Align joggers have been sooooo amazing and buttery and delicious the past few months and I still wear them constantly. But after we went tailgating this past weekend, we came home to a chilly house and I wanted SWEATS. Big ass sweats. But like, sweats I could still wear to school drop off if need be, you know? Wellp, these are those. Found them. Jogger sweats that could still be paired with a zip up hoodie and you won’t be judged by the other moms in the carpool line.
We hope October brings you all the fall feelings.. we head to the pumpkin patch this weekend.. so get ready for our Instagram feed to blow up orange, black and white 😉
