I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday last week! Ours was spent on our favorite Hawaiian island of Kauai and this trip for us always comes at the perfect time. We finally have a break from school and sports and jetting off to warmer temps this time of year is just what the doctor ordered.
Our family has been going to Kauai since Cammy was a baby and we have been staying at Koloa Landing for four of the past five years. It offers up everything our family needs – a 3 bedroom condo in a hotel setting, delicious food on site, walkable to the beach and to all the dining and shopping Koloa has to offer. We don’t venture far from the property once we arrive as the kids are occupied all day at the pool and at the beach but should we choose to get into more adventurous outings, such as snorkeling or a day trip on the ocean, the hotel would arrange all of that for us. I think next year we’ll take the boys to new snorkeling spots.
We spent a full week (with my parents and aunt as well!) relaxing, hanging by the pool, eating fresh seafood, sipping drinks, and just decompressing from a really busy fall season. Now we’re home, sports are on the slower end for us, and I’m looking forward to getting back in routine, soaking up the Christmas magic through the boys, and hosting friends and family this holiday season.
