I am seeing more and more “dramatic” type cardigans to really elevate the basic look. My girl Cortney at The Grey Edit talks about elevated basics all of the time and it inspired this post.
Instead of wearing your standard BP cardigan (which don’t get me wrong, I have it in multiple colors and there is a time and a place for that numbaaaa), putting on a cardi with a little flare or detail is becoming more and more popular. And no, it doesn’t have to have ruffles and puffy sleeves to be dramatic. It can be the length like a duster cardigan in my picture above, have intricate knit detailing, or oversized buttons.
