I hope you all enjoyed your Fourth of July celebrations and your summer is off to a fun start! I know ours is 🙂 We head home to Seattle this Wednesday after spending the last month in Wisconsin and while I am excited to get home and back into our own routine, I am also sad to leave the lake and our family back here. Our days here are so simple and sweet.. swim, fish, rinse, repeat.. and we have the help of Britt’s parents and my brother/sister-in-law, which we never take for granted! I am so happy that my kids will grow up loving the cabin and coming back here for extended periods of time in the summer time.
This past week Britt and I also celebrated our nine year wedding anniversary and went out to dinner on a nearby lake. We tossed around the idea of going to stay somewhere overnight or driving farther away for a nice dinner but honestly, my ideal date night is dinner and drinks and home early to watch a movie in our sweats. We old.. and I’m perfectly content with that.
And yesterday we LIT IT UP.. my husband and bro-in-law always head to the fireworks stand right before the sun sets on the 4th to get a discount on fireworks. If this photo doesn’t scream “BOYS!” I’m not sure what does 😉
And here is a photo dump of everything that’s been going on back here as we gear up to head home in a couple of days. The best thing I’m coming home to is getting to hold that sweet baby Kinsley 🙂
