I can’t believe I’m already needing to think about packing my hospital bag, but here we are at 35 weeks pregnant. They say to have your hospital bag packed around 36-37 weeks, so this is next up on my to-do list.
I went into labor with Quinn at exactly 39 weeks, so I want to be prepared that this babe might come a little early as well. I honestly could not tell you what I even packed or used for Quinn’s birth, but I don’t remember using a lot. This time around, I’ve done a little more research and would like to be over prepared than under in what we bring to the hospital. Here is what’s on my packing list so far. If I missed anything you think is A MUST please let me know in the comments 😉
Clothes & Shoes:
- PJ set – used
- sleep shirt – did not used
- robe –used
- slides– used
- grip socks (like this) –used
- nursing bra – used
- nursing tanks – used
- slippers – used
- joggers or these joggers –used
- sweatshirt – did not use
- going home outfit – used
Toiletries:
- laneige lip mask – used
- face wash – did not use (just used wipes)
- tooth brush + tooth paste – used
- hair brush – used
- body wash – did not use (waited to shower at home)
- body lotion – did not use
- face wipes – used
- body/face wipes – used
- eye balm – used
- vitamin C serum – used
- face moisturizer – actually forgot to pack any face lotion and NEEDED it
- hair ties used + headbands – did not use
- vitamins – used
Postpartum Items:
- I bought this postpartum kit I plan to use at home and will likely just use what the hospital provides. Last time they had everything I needed! – used at home, but honestly didm’t need because hospital gave me most of what I needed
- nursing pads – did not use
- nipple butter – used
Miscellaneous Items:
- Barefoot Dreams blanket – used
- pillow – used
- license and insurance card – didn’t need, but still bring it
- phone charger – used
- snacks – used and wish I had packed more
- electrolyte packets – used
- water bottle – used
- boppy lounger – used
- portable sound machine – used

BABY’S BAG
- diaper bag – used
- swaddle – used (hospital had one, but it sucked lol bring your own)
- baby blanket – used
- muslin swaddle blanket – didn’t use (hospital has blanket and used those)
- onesies – didn’t use (she was always just in diaper and blanket/swaddle until we left hospital)
- personalized hat – used
- pacis – used
- socks – used for going home only
- bows – didn’t use
- going home outfit (newborn outfit + 0-3 mo outfit)- used her newborn outfit since she was a peanut
