Winter Break Snaps

The kids are back in school after 2 weeks of winter break and it was one of my favorite times with my family and friends. I say it often but it just gets better and better with the boys, especially when it comes to traveling. We had a jam packed Christmas and then jetted off to Wisconsin to visit family and show our friends our second home and why we love it so much. I hope my boys remember it forever because I know I will..

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and now it’s back to the grind.. but first a little photo recap of winter break 2024:

So many festive events put on by our country club for the boys.. we decorated gingerbread houses and sipped on hot cocoa

Another year at the Washington Athletic Club visiting Santa and then spending the day at the golf simulator with friends. The WAC Santa is always one of our first stops in December because he’s just the best

Keeping me on my toes always.. this one needs glasses (both my husband and I were blind as bats before LASIK so it’s no surprise)

Seahawks vs. Packers.. a house divided. This was such a fun day with the boys and the stands were full of Packer fans, which made the environment so electric. Cam and Jack’s Packers took the W

Was meant to be a boy mom always.. sitting next to my football obsessed boy was a highlight of my year

Celebrated the end of school with a fancy dinner at Daniel’s.. the boys are finally at an age where it’s enjoyable to have a nice meal out of the house lol

Baked homemade sugar cookies and frosting for Santa and decorated with P. A goal for 2025 is to cook and bake more and I got started a little early with this recipe.

Followed by champs and hosted a Christmas Eve dinner party with close friends

Ski season is upon us! Got the boys up for a day before leaving town. We have a number of ski trips planned this winter and I can’t wait to get up to the mountains with my wild boys.

Jetted off to Wisconsin on Christmas Day and immediately got into cozy, relaxing mode

The boys immediately got into ice fishing mode and down to the ice in front of our house.

While they wait for the fish to bite, a lot of ice hockey and ice football games were played

Then some of our besties arrived and there was no shortage of fun. We fished, went four wheeling down the ice, ice sailing (look it up lol), played competitive games of darts, watched Squid Games and watched our boys bond even more. Couldn’t have dreamed up better best friends for my kids (and us!)

Jackson and the boys took turns riding the four wheeler and they are truly winter kids. They love all the adventure this season brings.

Parker brought up a Northern Pike all by himself as the dads rode off the ice on four wheelers so the moms had a frantic few minutes but look how proud this little face is! We popped up a tent on the ice with a heater and chairs and it was so pleasant. We had a lot of happy hours in the tent while the kids played inside and it was just the best.

Rung in the New Year with all of the kids and I think it sets the tone for the year ahead. They were so happy and excited to stay up, watch the ball drop, give us all hugs and kisses and blow off poppers all around the house. Core memory for sure. Feels like 2025 is going to be a good one because of how we ended 2024.

If you can’t bust out the fur in Wisconsin where can you? Ice fishing.. but make it FASHION
